I'm getting the bustle put in my dress next weekend, as well as having another meeting with the pastor and doing (I think) our final meeting with the flower lady.

I still have to print & assemble my invites, finish kissing balls for pew decorations, figure out a card box idea, print and cut the menu cards, and make the direction signs (our reception location is locted pretty far back on a road, so we're making a sign to post at the begining of the street/on the main road so people don't miss it). I have the seating chart to do too, but that won't be for awhile. The favors we're doing the week of the wedding (they're cookies so we want them to be fresh!), but I think that might be about it! 77 days.....

I'm dying to put my programs together but I'm not 100% certain my flower girl will still be in the wedding and I have a BM that I'm afraid may back out.

Other than that, I need to schedule/begin my fittings (really only need a bustle), and I'd LOVE to lose a little more weight, or at least tone up my legs so I look good on my honeymoon!

Wow you girls are getting stuff done!! Today we modified my dress by removing some tulle. I need to buy bridal party/parent gifts.  We have 3 vendors left to pay and our RSVP's are due jan 15 (destination wedding).  Less 60 days to go!!!

84 more days to go!  Wow, I thought 100 days left was scary.  We still have so much to do too!  We still have to book a DJ, take engagement pics, print invitations, work on our slideshow, and the list unfortunately goes on and on.  Trying to do as much as I possibly can so that March will be easier to deal with.

@verosara:  We're date twins. :) And we have a ton to do, too.  Have reserved but not formally booked our DJ.  Haven't even thought about a honeymoon.  Haven't even thought about flowers.  (Eek!)  Haven't even thought about programs, escort cards, first dance, etc, etc...

@eurkeaanchovies we are date twins!  And yes, there's lots to do.  I am with you, still haven't figured out the honeymoon.  We're planning on doing a 3-day get away and then waiting for the summer (when I have plenty of time off from work) for the real honeymoon.  But we don't even know the details of our quick get away like even where to go.  So we have to figure it out soon.

Btw, had any of you ladies ever pictured yourself getting married in March?  To be honest I hadn't, I always favored May, but March turned out to be so much better for us!  So I'm glad we went with it.  Just wondering if anyone felt the same?

@verosara: we were thinking about doing a short mini-moon right afterwards too, but have no clue what to do.

We were originally torn between March and September, but after seeing the difference in prices we decided on March. Plus, we were able to get the day after our current dating anniversary, so it's pretty meaningful! Why did everyone else pick March?

@verosara: I NEVER thought I would be getting married in March. Growing up I wanted a summer wedding, and after getting engaged to the FI I really wanted November, it just didn't work with our schedules.

I still have to do a bunch: finalize photo stuff, make veil, send out invites (glad many of us are in the same boat here!), get final alterations on dress, caterer food (tasting mon!)....simply put a ton more that I have forgotten! eek :) I am so excited though!

I never pictured myself getting married in March.  We always thought we'd marry in one of the warmer months.  But if we got married in May at our venue, we'd be paying $40 dollars more per person for the very same wedding.  That pretty much sealed the deal for us.

No I hadn't pictured March either.  Df told me almost immediately after the proposal that we would probably be getting married in March, lol. He had already started planning and asking family when would be a good time to travel!

I never expected March either!  I had wanted April or May, but our venue waived all sorts of fees during first quarter, so I went with the latest weekend date they still had available in March.  It saved us $750 in comparison to April and $2500 for May!

March wasn't my plan either!  I would have loved May but a friend picked it first so that was an easy decision.  Then we found out the venue we love has heat and no AC, so summer was out.  April was out because my mom was planning a trip to the Masters.  So March it is and I'm so happy cause it means its so close!  I can't wait!  Wish it was tomorrow!

I've gotta say I think a lot of us, including myself have saved with March!  It's definitely a green month, and hey maybe it's lucky or something, St. Patrick's is in March after all.  Anyway, just looking for another good reason, but I am so happy to be a March bride.  Thanks for adding ladies!

@msmacu: Where is your ceremony going to be? I personally felt that programs were something that were not absolutely necessary so mainly for budget costs I skipped them.

We were thinking about a cruise too, but later in the year since we wanted to go to Alaska. I don't know if that's really going to happen now, but you never know.

How large is your wedding? Are you having a lot of guests? Formal?? You don't NEED to have programs - we're doing them because we have a larger wedding party and a larger service. Also, we're including our thank-you message to our family and friends, plus a message about our lost loved ones.

@verosara-- My ceremony will be at a country club it will be outdoors.

I am having a large wedding 175 guests. I was thinking of combining the programs with a thank you note on the back sort of what luckyou is doing but doing it like a fan and That can be part of the favors to since im only giving out homemade chocolate lollipops. What Kind of favors are you hives having ?

I love the fan programs, they look very nice and are useful.  Your favors sound good too, mine are also edible.  We will be doing a candy buffet, and will have the small take out boxes with our wedding label on them for people to take home.  Still working on the labels/stickers though.

Eek, I just sent out my invites!  Though our venue requires a final head count mid February.  I'm starting to feel like I will look silly though.

Our honeymoon will be in Grand Cayman, can't wait to sit on the beach!

I'm glad some of you saved money going with March.... I definitely didn't, it's high season here in Florida, but its when my spring break it so I was kind of stuck with the date.

My invites are going out tomorrow!!

By having our wedding in March, we're saving $5200 than if we'd booked the same venue in May.

    Pretty unbelievable.

I just sent out my invitations!  We're having a destination wedding, so they're actually a little on the late side.  Can't believe it's coming up so soon!

@Ms. Starfish - we're not saving any money, either.  We're getting married in Hawaii during high season.  We chose March so people could get away from the cold!

@Ms. Starfish-- Im doing my wedding in Florida and so far i have save money i still havent gone over my budget. What city are you from? Sometimes it depends what side your in.. Im from Kissimmee and so far i have found great deals and prices especially on my venue!!

I get my invitations on Thursday finally, so i set up a goal, by 19 they should be sorted out ! Im a little late but good thing they are all from the same town.

Hives, im debating on wether i should put in my invitations the gift card which request money instead or should i just let the ppl get me gifts? what you think ?

I am taking a Weddingbee break from gluing my pocketfold invites together.  I am hoping to drop them in the mail tomorrow!  We still need to order favors, buy flowergirl dresses, DIY the aisle runner, a few odds and ends.

@msmacu: I don't think you should include the card asking for money instead of gifts. i would list it on your website or spread it by word of mouth instead. Make sure your friends and family know and they can help you get the word out.
