Well March 1st is me, I’m down to 26 days!  I’m not freaking out, and feel very excited, but also a little overwhelmed at the amount of things you can’t actually do until the last minute.  Like seating charts, escort cards, etc. Add to that my FI’s grandmother just died and we have to attend a funeral, my days left are going down quickly.  Now if the last 20 people would just RSVP….

How am I feeling? Nervous as all hell. I have very bad anxiety and the actual wedding makes me incredibly anxious if I think about it for too long.

But I feel like as far as planning goes, I’m pretty good. I ordered our flowers for our centerpieces last night, which is something I had been meaning to do. I had my first fitting for my gown last week, and it just needs to have the sash attached now and it will be good. My MOH’s dress hasn’t come in yet, but I don’t think it’s quite time to freak out yet. I do still need to do a hair trial, which I think I’ll do this week. I meant to do it a couple weeks ago but I lost my debit card TWICE so I was without it for about two weeks.

I am mostly good but I really want people to RSVP!!! The worst part for me is the table seating situation and I just want to get that done with!!

@SouthernGirl:  Oh no! That must have been awful. I somehow managed to lose mine the first time between two stores that are 3 doors down from each other and when they sent a new one about a week later, I lost it somewhere in my house! I didn’t even use it and I have no idea what I did with it. So I then had to wait another week for a replacement.

@SouthernGirl:  Oh! And the RSVPs, I’m dreading that too! My deadline for getting them back is Feb. 22nd, so they still have a few weeks, but I’m pretty sure there are going to be several people who don’t send them back. I swear every day that I check the mail and there’s no RSVPs in there I get so annoyed.

Surprisingly good, considering we started planning this shindig… two weeks ago?

Venue, officiant, photographer, cake, guest list, and rings are essentially sorted, so I sort of figure that’s the essentials and everything else will work itself out.

@CarolinaCola:  Glad I’m not the only one who gets annoyed/disappointed when there are no RSVPs in the mailbox. I just told FMIL this weekend that no one from her side of the family has responded yet.

I feel like I still have so much to do even though all the big stuff has been finalized for months. All of these little details are starting to get a bit overwhelming. Has anyone else had a hard time choosing music for their wedding? Like what song to walk down the aisle to, first dance, cake cutting that sort of stuff. Any tips on sites or apps to help narrow the selection down would be great.

@Aadams4:  I’ve been working on our playlist! I’ve found the biggest help to be making a few stations on Pandora that are the general kind of music I’m wanting and just listening to them while I’m doing something and if a song strikes me as something I want to hear at the wedding, I add it to my list!

I’ll be honest though, I have no idea what music to play during the ceremony. Or even if I’ll be able to play music, unless I get a little speaker to hook up to my ipod or something and just put it somewhere out of sight. Our ceremony is going to be in a pretty small chapel, so I think that could possibly work.

How are you guys playing music during the ceremony, if at all?

@SouthernGirl:  When you say your reception music is just going to be background noise, does that mean you’re not having dancing?

@CarolinaCola:  We hired a DJ for our wedding that is bringing speakers specifically for the ceremony area but we are getting married outside at a garden venue so I think its easier to do it there then it would be in a chapel. Thankfully we just have to pick the important songs and he will play whatever else during the reception based on our taste in music. I am going to have our DJ play some instrumental songs before the ceremony as guests arrive from The Vitamin String Quartet. The one thing I really want to tackle this week is what song I will walk down the aisle too and our first dance.

@SouthernGirl:  Glad there’s someone else who doesn’t have what song they are going down the aisle too 🙂 I guess we have enough time really to pick songs, I am just a huge procrastinator.

@SouthernGirl:  ughhhh yeah I’m mostly annoyed about the RSVPs because I seriously have two different ways they can do it.  You can mail back the self addressed already stamped one, or you can just pop online and do it there. SO EASY.  It even has a freaking app.  And yet, still 20 to go.
