So, all the bees keep raving about Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, and I’m super intrigued… BUT, they keep mentioning it in relation to whiteheads. My problem is, I get those deep red monsters. Do you know if it will still work for those?
Thanks for any and all advice!

i just got it, also because everyone is raving about it. the bottle said that it works for pimples too. it worked for some for me, but not all. and it really dried up my face, which i guess i was expecting.

One of the Bee’s mention there is another product for the cyst like pimples that will dry that out. I would look through the post’s to get the exact name of it.

Artbee, I hope you didn’t put it on your entire face! I only put it on top of a pimple, no where else. It totally zaps the moisture out of the affected area, so that would be ouchy on clear skin.
There is something called Buffering Lotion for cystic acne. I haven’t tried it but would like to. If anyone else has, let us know if it works well!

I believe that lotion has SULFUR in the ingredients~ 🙂 That is the ingredient that helps ‘dry’ out the pimple. If you use it, don’t forget moisturizer.
I wrote a little blog about acne skin care~ if you think it might be helpful and if you have time to read it, here it is:

I am curious about the drying lotion as well. Whenever I use acne lotions or creams I seem to end up bleaching my towels or my sheets. Does the drying lotion do this at all?

@ribbons. no, i didn’t put it on my whole face! just on any pimples i have, but my entire face did seem to dry out. and whenever i put any sort of moisturizer on it, my face will just break out. i’m just going to do nothing to my face for a few days and let it breath.
