my first engagment ring ( which ended) was a marquise diamond and I loved it, it was set east west.  I ended up sellig it on ebay.  I have and always will love the marquise stone. But I love my cushion cut even more.

My 3rd engagement ring.  The one I picked out broke a prong twice.  My love chose this one.  I told him he had great taste.  He said “Of course I do. I’m marrying you”.  Have to say that made this ring perfect.

Ok, FINE. But only because I just painted my nails and cleaned my ring. 😉

I love ovals too but I prefer much larger sized ovals than I prefer for marquise for some reason (think Katie Holmes)

thank you, that ring was so pretty and unique and I almost kept it as a right hand ring, but decided it was best to start fresh, so I sold it.  I still love a marquise stone, I think they are absolutely love, I have larger fingers so I got better finger coverage with my old marquise than I do with my current cushion cut.. but I love her just as much.
