Every state is different, and depending on what county you live depends on the price and where you have to go. In Maryland, you have to get the license in the same county or city your getting married in. We were originally going to get married in the county we live in, which would have been $55 and we would have to go to the court house in Annapolis. Now we're getting married in the Baltimore City and we have to pay I think $70 and go into downtown to get the license. Plus we have a 2 day waiting period and the license is valid for 6 months.
But I would definitely go on your state's website to see what they say
Even counties in PA vary. Where are you getting married? We are getting married just outside of Philly in Motgomery County and this is from the courthouse website.
<div class="paragraphHeadline">WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE?@Irishone... What website did you get this information from? I am googling and can't get what I am looking for.
We got our marriage license in Delaware County and I believe it was $60. We got married in Chester County but I believe it's just the state that matters, not the county where you get your license.
ours is only $30, yay, thank the Lord for small mercies coz everything else is expensive
valid after 24 hours, no blood test
depends on your state
In Pennsylvania you can get a marriage license in any county. It doesn't have to be the county you live in or are getting married in. The price is definitely differen in different counties. We are getting ours in Center City which is $80 but I know it was cheaper elsewhere...this is just convenient.

hey brides,
I know there's a lot of you getting married July-September. Has anyone gone through the marriage license experience? Any advice to share? Is it really $80 everywhere or does that depend on the county? What locale has the shortest line?
Thanks in advance for the tips!
