I know physicals or blood testsx were required long ago. But my state (PA) has not required them for decades.
in Indiana (where i live) online it says that you have to get a physicial but i called bc i thought this was really weird. and they said that is outdated information, the law was changed years ago! :)
Nope! According to my research and talking to people, none of that is needed. As someone else mentioned, blood tests were required many years ago.
We eloped in January and it was surprisingly easy.....no physical or blood test like years ago. We filled out papaerwork, wrote a check, waited three days and picked it up!
I was married in MA.. you don't need a physical or blood tests. You don't even need your birth cert.. I just showed up with the hubs, our licenses and $25. Easy peasy.
Thanks everyone! I figured that physicals and blood test were out the door, but when someone mentioned it one their blog, I started to get annoyed. Thanks again!!

Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a physical required from your physician in order to obtain a marriage license? I thought there wasn't one required for Massachusetts..but I was reading another blog and said you needed one at least 30 days in advance. Anyone know if this is true?
thanks!
