While agonizing over our seating arrangements, my mom just said to me “people will move around anyways, they’re going to sit wherever they want.”… she is just full of good news!!! (she’s also the one that informed people will steal our cards)
So to the married bees – did that actually happen at your wedding? I mean, it’s not the biggest deal but it would be annoying after all the time I’m spending on this!!

I think that people will move where they are comfortable. For a majority of people they just sat where they were placed for dinner and then got up and moved around wherever they wanted.

Yes, but not the way your mom is talking (although someone did write us a note that they ignored our seating chart? didn’t recognize the handwriting, no idea who it was). People moved around after dinner.

We didn’t have arranged seating, but yeah, people moved around. It makes sense – they would know best who they want to socialize and spend time with. Of course, people start moving around more after dinner.
But usually, I don’t get arranged seating. It usually only lasts through dinner, from my experiences.

We had some people move, but not until after dinner, when the dancing started…

Well that’s all I care about – I hope the get they get up after dinner anyways! To dance and chat etc. Just the dinner part I’m thinking of. I don’t expect them to be tied to their chair the whole time haha.

@midwestgirl80: I’ve temporarily bounced around to different tables to mingle with people after dinner has been served, but I always return to my assigned seat eventually.

After dinner people moved around but they were all in their spots during dinner.

I’ve mingled but only “sat/ate” at my assigned table.
