i took anxiety medication the night before and woke up at 7 am just because i could hear people walking upstairs at my parents...
Strangest thing- I was able to sleep just fine that night. I mean, the first 15 minutes I was just thinking, "holy sh*t, I'm getting married tomorrow", over and over again. Then I fell asleep. It helps that I was waaay past exhaustion at that point. I'd be running around, nonstop since the Tuesday before. I was awake by 8 am, just because I couldn't sleep. The ceremony didn't start until 6, my MUA/Hair Stylist weren't going to arrive at the location until 1 so it was such a nice leisurely morning. I had some private bonding time with my mommy over coffee. I worked out, showered and began the day. As soon as I got the bridal suite at the venue, the afternoon flew by! It felt like a whirlwind and just like that- it was over. I didn't feel like I had time to do anything I wanted to do! Like just have a mimosa and hang with the girls. We were all running around like crazy people. Even with what we thought was enough time. So schedule yourself extra time, just to be sure. Sitting around is the worst that can happen if you give yourself too much time, your hair and make-up won't go anywhere!
I slept like a rock the night before the wedding. I went to bed around 12:30 after we finished making our centerpieces. The I woke up around 8AM or so and had some breakfast. Our hair and make up appointments didn't start until 11AM, so we had some time to just relax.
I woke up at 5:45! I had a DW and couldn't sleep at the hotel all week. I was so anxious and excited I just couldn't sleep. I was up by 6 each morning. I even took a Benadryl to make me sleep the night before. Clearly, it didn't work. But, when I woke up, my mom was already up, and the 2 of us went to the beach to watch the sun rise together. It was the perfect start to the day.
I actually slept really well on the night before my wedding too. Probably helped that I made my MOH sleep in my bed with me : ) We woke up around 7:30 because that's when we scheduled our room service breakfast. Make up and hair people arrived at 8.
I went to bed around midnight/12:30 and woke up around 6:30am. I got up, had my coffee, washed my face, my parents woke up and i hung out with them, and then we left at 730am to go be at the salon at 8am. But i get up for work before 6am anyways so i'm used to an early schedule.
I was tired so yes, i slept fine. I am not to the point where i get so excited I can't sleep anymore. Like when i was a kid and we were going on vacation? lol. I just get tired and sleep.
i went to sleep around 11 and woke up at 5 for my 10am nuptuals!
i don't remember what time i woke up, but it was earlier than i wanted. i had a massage scheduled for 10:00, and i knew i wanted breakfast before that, so i think i wanted to wake up at 9 and probably got up at 7 something. it was nice though, my sil and sister came into my bed and we talked about how exciting everything was.
I woke up at 6am after a whopping 3 hours of sleep! My girls and I had our hair appointment at 8. Wedding took place at 2pm.
MY sister said she couldn't sleep the night before her wedding. I really wonder if I will be able to at all! lol. My hair appt is @ 9 and my make up at 11. The ceremony begins at one so I am a little nervous about time! lol.
I slept ok, but that's because I had a glass of wine right before bed. I probably went to bed around 10 or 11 the night before, which was the night of our rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. I had to get up at 6:00 am the next morning. I had to be showered and ready for guests in my suite by 8:00 am. I had hair stylists from my home town drive up to where we were married and do my hair, my BM's my mom, my MIL and my aunt's hair that morning, all in my suite! I also had to deal with one of my BM's who backed out of getting her hair done at the last minute (uber annoying, esp since these women drove 2 hours to come do it and you already agreed! Also, having my people do it was way way way cheaper than you having it done where you did!) And despite getting up that early, the girls were still late for the church!
Even though I took an ambien, I couldn't stay asleep. I fell asleep for an hour or two, woke up for a few hours then fell back asleep from complete exhaustion for another hour. All in all woke up for good at 7:30am.
But if your wedding isn't until later in the day, you might want to consider getting another stylist who isn't double booked so you can get your hair done closer to the wedding time.
I woke up around 7 a.m :) If you can sleep till 7 or 8 I say go for it! I could have slept later but I was too excited and I'm ALWAYS early hehe
I didn't sleep a wink the night before, and I woke up at 7:30 for hair to start at 8 a.m. We had a 4:30 ceremony, and we did all our photos beforehand (obviously, we saw each other before the ceremony).
i tried to sleep at midnight but was still running around doing last minute stuff at home and woke up at 7:30 since everyone else was already up and making a ton of noise. My hair/makeup was at 9am and the ceremony at 5pm as we did our photos before hand also.
I stayed at a hotel with my bridesmaids, and I didn't end up falling asleep until after midnight. I woke up around 8:00... we had hair appointments starting at 9:30!
DH and I spent the night together at our hotel suite. We didn't get to bed till around 1am and I woke up at 7am.
It took me a while to fall asleep saturday night, I probably went to bed around 2 am and I woke up before my alarm was supposed to go off at 5:45 am - I was up around 5:30 am - we left my house at 8:30 to head to the venue - gosh, in retrospect that doesn't seem like enough sleep but we were going on adrenaline, I think!
I slept wonderfully the night before. DH's cousin called our room at 9am and woke us both up with "Hey bro, when are we all getting together??". I was mad that I missed the last planned hour of my sleep. I'm not a morning person AT ALL. I figured since I woke up so early I'll go get my polish changed in the hotel salon instead of having my mom do them. I went in my overalls and flip-flops, no contact lenses so half blind, and yawning the whole time. The girls who worked there couldn't believe I was getting married that day and said I was the calmest bride they ever saw :)
I actually had no problem falling asleep the night before the wedding...I was exhausted from the past 2 nights not getting enough sleep so I was fine sleeping. I had to get up at about 6:45 because my sister and I both had to be showered and have our hair dry before getting to the salon at 8am.(I stayed the night at her hotel room so my then FH and I didn't see each other until the ceremony). Our pictures started at 12 for a 2pm ceremony.

I'm trying to make a decision on a hair/mu person that can only come over super early (she's double booked) and start planning my wedding day morning. FI and I will not be seeing each other before and the ceremony starts at 4pm with family pictures at the venue at 3pm.
What I'm trying to figure out is if I'm going to wake up early anyway (because I'll be so excited!)
Married Bees - did you have trouble sleeping the night before and/or did you wake up earlier than normal?
Would love to know what time you woke up vs. what time you normally wake up....
