I read somewhere that you could bank on about 10% not showing, but I"m not sure that is the case in all situations. I mean, our wedding is very small and mostly family, so I'm fairly certain our amount of people who don't come will be far less.
I think that we invited about 400 people and about 270 showed. BUT, we were expecting that because the wedding was in AK (where I am from) and there was only 5 people from the grooms side because he is from MN...(sorry Hunny) and my extended family is all in CA and MA and FL.
So, that was not a traditional case.
How many did you invite nicoleashlee05 ? We have got almost 100 (eek) it was suppose to be more like 50 uh oh hope it all works out
Invited 250, attended 150. So basically we had 60% attendance which we thought was pretty good considering approximately 85% of our guest list was from out of town.
Well, last night we had a catastrophic awareness that my FMIL had invited more people than we had first confirmed. Soooo, we're looking at 300 people, hoping to have 250. Is that realistic?
Well, the wedding is 35 minutes from my hometown, an hour away from most church friends and at least 1/3 of his family lives out of state. I'm just so afraid people are going to roll in because nobody has been married in either of our families in quite some time! UHHHH.. WHY DIDNT WE RUN! lol
We invited 150 and had 100 attend. For the in-town guests, we had a 86% acceptance rate, and for the out-of-town guests, we had a 57% acceptance rate.
We invited 133 and had 85 attend, although most of those not attending were +1s for single guests or children since most couples opted to enjoy our destination wedding as a vacation without the kids.
Getting married in less than 3 weeks, and as far as RSVPs:
invited 160
accepts 132
I hope all 132 show up... we're paying per head!
@nicole - I think you're good with inviting 300, expecting 250. We're going to invite 250 (first) and hope we get around 200-210 from that, then send out another 40 and see what happens.
We invited 450 and had 220 show-up. Our wedding was a 5 hour drive for my side and half of his side. The rest on his side were flying in from all over.
My brother and SIL invited 450 too and had 250 show. They had a wedding her in town so all of my side was around a 45 min drive. And then the bride's side was half in town and half out of town.
What we did was go through our list and mark the for sure Yes... ie. family, bridal party. Then marked the for sure No. ie... elderly who can't travel etc. Then that left us with the maybe's. Which we did a best case/worst case number.

To all married brides out there,
How many people did you invite and how many people actually showed? I know every situation is different, but I really need some comfort here!!
