As in at least on or the other, doesn't have to mean both. I just know some married women who don't but have nice rings that wasn't cheap. & Thought, hmm is this common? :P

Mine never comes off unless DH is cleaning it.  I have a dent in my finger that will not go away, LOL.  Now I wish he had put one of those hearts on the inside.

@tksjewelry: Aw, how cute would the heart on your finger be??? I have the same dents! lol I take mine off for cleaning it or when I use harsh chemicals like bleach. But otherwise I always wear mine also!

@Mrs.tobe: Do you wear yours when cleaning? It scares me?

There is one friend I am mainly talking about. Her husband doesn't wear a band at all. And she use to wear hers when they went out but stopped. (I have noticed her wearing them in pictures lately though!) She lives in a different state. lol But she told me she had stopped wearing them because she never remembered (she hates wearing them around the house.) ANYWAYS, so basically they meet a new friend. Had been hanging out with him for a few weeks because he did work with her husband. He called them boyfriend and girlfriend because he had NO clue they was married because they don't wear rings. lol But I just wondered if it was common.

@Mrs.Estep: Welll, it depends on what kind of cleaning. But if I'm using chemical cleaners I usually have rubber gloves on and I will keep the ring on. But if I'm cooking something messy or very hands on (like cookie dough, or raw meats, etc) I always take it off.

I wear my wedding band 98% the time (unless sleeping, cleaning, showering etc) but I only wear my engagement ring 75% of the time.  I wear both whenever I'm out of the house.

I don't wear either ring when I'm cleaning, sleeping or showering. I wear my wedding band all other times. I only wear my engagement ring with it on special occasions or when we're going out though. It's a very nice ring and it was expensive, but it spins which bothers me, so I don't wear it as much as I would if it fit better. We're going to have it resized next month. Hopefully I can wear it more then.

My rings only come off when I shower or am handling raw meat or dough while cooking.

I don't always wear my e-ring, but I always wear my band.

Yep, every day. I also wear the ring that my mom gave me for our wedding every day as well.

Yes, I wear both my e-ring and wedding ring all the time (unless I'm showering, or working with something messy like raw meat). I couldn't imagine not wearing them especially cuz they were expensive and my DH is still paying for them. Also, I really love them for what they symbolize.

I'm not married yet, but I can't see making a habit of not wearing my rings.  For one thing, I think it's kind of sketch to be out in public as a married person and to not wear a ring.  And also, I'm just so used ot my e-ring that if I forget it, I feel naked.  I wear mine about 99% of the day, including sleep.  Only time I take it off is for showering or cooking stuff that involves my hands getting dirty.

I dont wear my E-ring really anymore. Just my wedding band, which is one I can wear and do anything in, so I don't have to take it off.

When it was just my E-ring I took it off all the time, because I was paranoid about damaging it.

Yay!! I can play! It's been almost 4 weeks, and I wear both all the time! The exceptions are cleaning, messing cooking/baking & putting lotion on.

I haven't been able to wear my set since about 6 months after we got married, and my stand in hardly ever gets used anymore. I just forget when I'm walking out the door. Hubs hardly ever wears his ring either.

I don't really understand the women who chose to not wear their E ring after getting married...I'm not passing judgement, please don't take it that way.  It is just my opinion that our significant others spend so much money and time on them, it would be a shame to not wear it...personally my FI would freak if I decided not to wear mine after the wedding, and I even contributed to the purchase of it!

I usually wear either e-ring or wedding band (90% of time I wear my band).  My DH only wears his band when we go out.

My rings are soldered together  and I wear them everyday, every night, in the shower, while cleaning etc...the only time they come off is if I'm mixing dough or something. I could never imagine not wearing it unless someday while pregnant my hands are too swollen to wear it....same goes for DH he never takes his off either.

Mine are soldered together as well. I always wear mine. The only time I take it off is to put lotion on, mixing food together with hands (dough etc) or working outside in the dirt\woods. In that case I wear my old original wedding band; plain white gold. I sleep in mine and shower in them etc... I have ring insurance so im not really concerned about if it were to be damaged lol.

It doesn't seem that common on this board, but I have many friends who only wear their bands.  That was part of my choice in picking one ring that could serve for e ring and band.

I'm not married yet (3 months yay) but if my FI doesn't wear the wedding band I buy him I will kill him haha jk ! but seriously I feel like wearing the ring is a symbol of your love for each other and even now sometimes I take my engagement ring off at home and FI will come over and he'll tell me it makes him sad to see me without it...awe haha so yeah we both planning on wearing ours the entire time.. I can see myself maybe only wearing my wedding band and not my engagement ring sometimes, because my wedding band is a lot smaller and it's really comfortable but I'll always wear either both or one of them :)

--I take mine off to shower (always) sometimes when i sleep, and if I'm doing heavy cleaning with chemicals.

I only wear mine when we're going out the door..even if it's to get gas. I don't wear it if we're spending the day at home.. I don't know how people sleep with theirs on 24-7..mine would scratch my face, my body, poke my hubby, etc. And I def don't wear it when I'm cleaning or washing dishes.  It's like any other jewelry piece I have..wear when I leave the house, and then when I come home, I put it away safely. =)

I plan to still wear my engagement right and wedding band after we are married. I can't imagine having my FI dish out thousands of dollars to never wear it or wear it on occassion.

I don't wear my e-ring. It's an heirloom pearl ring that was given to DH to give to me, and I'm petrified of damaging it, so I have it locked away. I only wear my gold wedding band. I only take it off to put on lotion.

Not married yet, but I'm sure that I will always wear them unless I'm showering, cleaning, etc. We're spending a lot on them and I've turned into my momma, so I like the tradition :)
