The changes aren't legal I don't think until you update your information with SS, driver's license, etc. Marriage certificates vary from state to state and so even if you put your married name on there, I don't think anyone is going to "enforce" it unless you take the step to change it with the SSA and on your driver's license. Sorry I don't know more than that!

Hi- please help!
So I changed my name on our marrige certificate (haven't got it yet).
I'm applying for some work (professional) licenses and it ask me for my Legal Name and AKA. Professionally I want to keep my maidan name...what do I do? Do I keep all my SS card, driver's license etc in my madian name? and if so is that legal to have all my ID's say Maidan name, but marriage certificate say married name?
