Marros in Rye is where I was married in May 2008. We had a great experience with them. The caters actually go by the name Jean-Jacques http://jean-jacques.com/ In my opinion their website needs some work, but the people are very nice to work with. Professional, capable, reliable.
The Marros location is beautiful, but it is actually the grounds of a greek orthodox church. So people will be confused when driving to it sinc ethe sign will not say Marros. It will say Church of Our Savior or something. But the garden and courtyard area are very charming and the high ceilings and woodbeams of the reception hall are very inviting.
I would def recommend checking out this place and these caterers as an option. Their pricing was also very reasonable.
Oh! I am getting married there in August! So excited to work with them, and they just finished updating the inside of the venue- I'll keep you posted if you want after my wedding with some pics. The place is awesome on the outside.

The Marros is where we had our reception. And it can be a nice location if you are prepared to spend money to make the place look a lot better. For example, you def need to get chairs especially for cocktail hour, fabric to cover the stage, lighting, etc. We actually spent time cleaning the cocktail hour area ourselves the Thursday before our wedding when no one was around because no one would do it for us and it was that bad. Its unfortunate because the location has so much potential but they dont take care of it. In the end, I must say that cocktail hour turned out great but dinner was a different story. Dinner came out late and was cold, pastries were placed on the table too late out and our favors were not passed out at all.
We had 350 people and they were just unable to service that many people.
I would really only recommend this place if you are having a smaller wedding, they give you a deal that you cannot pass up, and you have extra money to "fix" the place up and pay out of pocket.

Was wondering if anyone had any feedback/opinions/experiences with Marros in Rye or Colonial Caterers (they seem to have teamed up).
Any info. at all would be greatly appreciated.
