Hey I'm probably a little late on this, but it's pretty cool! :)

Here they are in Martha Stewart online and here's all the great photos... I love the shot of him wiping away the tear. ;)

    Fantastic! Go Martha!

I have to say, one of the things I love about the article is how it shines the light of normalcy on a marriage between two people of the same sex. There wasn't a "today, on a very special episode of Martha Stewart..." vibe. It's wonderful to see.

Yes! I love the fact that it's just another beautiful martha stewart wedding and I love the shot of the couple kissing- so often when gay couples are portrayed they have to appear chaste so as not to offend....well done martha!

Brilliant article from Martha Stewart and as a publication I can only imagine how much courage it took to feature that. I hope this isn't a one time thing, even if they do get angry letters from conservatives.

The couple look so blissfully happy and its such a simple and stylish wedding... Its amazing that there haven't been more such articles on beautiful same sex marriages too... I know OBB features them off and on but I can't think of other popular wedding blogs that do.

The shot of their parents and the joy on their parents faces was so touching. Everyone wants their children to be happy and find someone that will love them for who they are... hetero or not.

@MissHelen: Yes, that's also what I loved about it... just another couple getting married.

Style Me Pretty featured one a while back (it def. has that "after school special" feel though, and they haven't featured one since), and here's one from this Chicago photographer and here's one from Snippet & Ink.

I don't mean to be a downer... but is this the first gay wedding she's ever featured? That was the impression I got. If so... sheesh. About time.

But on a positive note, the pictures look great. Love the suits!

Their suits are absolutely adorable! And so is their dog... what issue is this from? The one with the flower cake on the front? I have it, but I haven't read it yet!

Cybele, I'm conservative. Registered Republican. And I don't write angry letters, nor do I care who marries whom. Just because someone is conservative does NOT mean they're an extreme right wing fundamentalist. The percentage of conservatives that are is actually pretty small.

I agree with KMSull- please don't confuse religious beliefs with political beliefs.  I'm Republican as well and I'm very much in favor of equal rights and treatment of everyone.

The photos, colors, and style are all so gorgeous at their wedding.  The napkins crack me up.  I don't quite catch the meaning behind the centerpieces but they are awesome.  Lots of great little details!

I love the kitschy table themes!!  I wish I could be that creative.  Sigh.

Oh, and if you are looking for blogs that feature same-sex weddings, www.apracticalwedding.com does that from time to time, not just once!

@KMSull and arobb81 - I'm sorry I should have specified my meaning. I meant conservative in the dictionary definition of "disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change." I pretty much thought that by not capitalising the initial, it would be differentiated from the political party. Obviously I was wrong. Tongue out

I'll vow to be a little bit more specific in the future. And not that this in any way justifies my mistake, but I'm from Mumbai, India, so I apologise for the lapse made in ignorance.

@cybele- it's totally cool! Unfortunately for me, conservatives in the US get a pretty bad rap as being narrow minded and bigoted, when that's not the case at all! I can be fiscally conservative and socially liberal and still more or less identify with either political party. It's all kinds of crazy in politics and normally don't even bring them up! Glad to clear that up!

In Martha's defense, it is really only in the past year and a half that there have been a substantial number of legal same-sex marriages in the US.  Before that, Massachusetts was the only state to allow same-sex marriage, and it limited them to Massachusetts residents.

That being said, I am thrilled that same-sex weddings have become so mainstream at this point.  We didn't run across a single vendor who expressed any disapproval, and I can recall only one (quickly deleted) hostile post on a wedding message board.
