I used the idea from Marth Stewart Weddings for photo I Spy cards that go with disposable cameras at the wedding. I changed some of the items they have listed but essentially, the template stayed the same.
I made tent cards for the tables with the game instructions and the list and placed the disposalbe cameras beside them.
I thought maybe one or two people would ply along and we’d have some fun photos. Boy was I mistake! This turned into the most fun thing at the reception. People were literally running to be the first to get a picture of something and as soon as one guest was done with a camera, three more were waiting to snatch it up and start on thier I Spy list.
some were very creative and some were sentimental. One guest was VERY creative and fit all of the itmes from the list into ONE photo. (clever!)
I’m so glad I did this, and it’s all because I read it here on Wedding Bee. Thanks Bees!

I so glad to hear this! I am planning on having it at our wedding, but I was only planning on having it for the kids. It sounds like the adults did it too!

I love that you did this with the adults too! I was definitely interested in doing it for the kids too – but now I might have to buy some more cameras….. :o)

I’m glad it worked out!! I saw this idea in this past Martha Stewart magazine! I actuallt wanted to play another game she featured in that magazine that used famous couples that had to be matched. I was going to do this at our happy hour party as an ice breaker! I love Martha!

Would like to know what lines you changed and could you post some of the pictures?

This is exactly wht I printed on the tent cards:
Wedding Photo I – Spy
Play along and help us capture photos of our guests and events at the reception!
When “You Spy” any one of the items or actions listed on this card
use one of the disposable cameras that are scattered about
to take a picture of it.
Something that Sparkles
A Bubbly Drink
Someone Wearing Pink
The Bride and Groom
We had tables that seated 6, so I put one tent card and one camera on each table. As we went around talking and chatting with each table I pointed out the cameras and the list.
I bought my cameras from an online place called ecamerafilms.com. They have alot of different types of cameras. Mine were $1.95 each and the pictures turned out well.
Sam’s Club had really great prices on film developing. Mine all cost less than $5 each to process, and they have an option to get them on a CD.
