I’m glad you had a good experience!  My sister used to be a Mary Kay consultant, and what happened is (I think) exactly what is supposed to happen….you try the product, have a good time, and if you like it, you end up buying from the consultant.

The key is with the consultant….one time I went to a Mary Kay “thing” and the consultant was super pushy…which turned me off.  I get it that they are trying to sell product (that is their job), but it is possible to be a good consultant without being pushy.

I’m glad you had a good experience!

I also got sucked into the Pampering Session. And what a HORRIBLE experience…not so much the session itself, but the aftermath.

After having the session at my house with my bridesmaids and a couple of their moms, the consultant left and I realized that her high heeled shoes left dents all over my new hardwood floors!! My Fiance and I were really upset. I let the consultant know and initially she was apologetic and seemed to want to work with us, but then refused to talk to us. Everyone we talked to in that company was horribly rude!! I immediately returned the products I bought at the party!!

I will never purchase anything from Mary Kay again!!!!!
