@Miss Emily Marie: I use to sell Mary Kay (and then my unit became a little...cult-like)
Talk to your rep. She'll be able to show you different techniques on keeping it fresh all day. Do you use the liquid foundation and powder on top of that?
I just use the foundation, I have never tried the powder before. Will that help?
The powder will set your foundation. Also with Mary Kay, they have a whole system to make your makeup and skin look flawless.
Do you use the Timewise Age Fighting moisturizer? Without using a moisturizer, the foundation doesn't go on smoothly and you end up using more. You can wear medium or full coverage foundation and use lookse powder or some women like to put the mineral make up powder over it.
Also for your eyes use an eye primer. The eye primer will keep your color bold all day and it will keep your eyeshawdow from creasing.
I know some women who put powder on their lips before applying lipstick. I've never done it, but they swear it keeps the color from fading.
Use satin lips! I swear by it. My lips never chap from it.
I sell it (well kinda, I'm focusing more on school right now):
I use the timewise facial cleanser (the moisterizer and the day/night serum) with micro dem./ toning mask (alternate everyday)
Then I put my concealer on, liquid foundation, and then loose mineral powder.
It gives me a real flawless look without looking caked on.
@trugem: I do micro twice a week. Usually on Sunday's (to wash away the weekend and start fresh for the work week) and Thursday's (to wash away the work week and start fresh for the weekends.)
lol
@trugem: I would do the micro more, but my skin is sensitive and it just scrapes everything away. lol
I also love love love my lip glosses and Ultimate Mascara.
I would like to get back in to selling it (Just to get the 50% discount) but some of the Mary Kay people are...scary. Like I'm not trying to make a career out of it. I don't want the pink car!
@Miss Tattoo: LOL I know! I am just doing it as a job until I start my real career. Making a career out of it is not for everyone. My director tries to guilt trip me for not going to the meetings. I had night classes on those nights and she was like you can miss one.
Thanks for the advice ladies! I will definitely look into the powder. I use the whole system face wash, toner, lotion. Oh and I LOVE that eye primer stuff, not worried about the eye shadow coming off at all.
You guys are right about the MK ladies being intense, I moved and my MK lady in my old town was like on a campaign to get the car. She called me every month to see if i needed anything because she was that close to getting it. It was totally crazy
Is your Mary Kay lady willing to do your makeup? I have a Mary Kay girl that is going to do my makeup on wedding day!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I'm a Mary Kay kinda girl. I love the makeup & love my Mary Kay lady.
But i'm a little concerned about using Mary Kay for my wedding day because 1. i would be doing my own make-up and I'm not good at putting more makeup on than looking natural. 2. despite my love of Mary Kay I sometimes feel like after about 6 hours I need some touch ups because it wears off a smidge.
Are there any other Mary Kay bees out there? Are you doing your own Mary Kay for your wedding?
