amalzingsong:  not really answering your question but Im absolutely in love with NWM. Just out of curiosity…if you dont mind, did they state why they wont allow you to come before 7 pm? Was it an issue of someone already having an event booked or what?

But as far as ceremony only…The chapel at Evangel Cathedral (literally 5-10 minutes) away is beautiful and a popular spot for ceremonies for ppl having their reception at NWM because of the close proximity.

really? that sucks ! Ive heard that they divide up times like that there and there isnt anything you can do. I want to have my ceremony begin at 4:30 (sentimental value) and the more I research I see that wont be happening…well there is always the option of booking off the whole day but im sure that cost is insane.

Oh also, how far in advance did you book your date? you think if you book far enough in advance you can choose off times like say 2-8 pm or they only stick to that 10-5 time frame? (sorry if im asking too much)

  • Wedding: August 2015

We are getting married in the historic St. John’s College in Annapolis next May- the Great Hall for the ceremony and the dining hall in Randall Hall for the reception for about 80 guests. It’s gorgeous and Annapolis holds a special place in our hearts. I always knew I wanted to get married there and the college is the perfect venue for us. Annapolis has a tons a beautiful wedding venues and it’s not too far from Mitchellville

  • Wedding: August 2016 - Belmont Manor

@amalzingsong I am thinking about the Newton White Mansion for my August 2015 wedding. We will do a Friday or Sunday. I feel your pain. We are thinking about doing a Friday or Sunday wedding there. On Fridays weddings can’t start until after 5. I wonder if we can start setting up at 4 instead of 5. On Sundays you can choose whatever set of 7 hours you want so we may go with that option so we can start earlier. Would you consider Sunday? Its cheaper and you can start earlier.

Try Oxon Hill Manor in Oxon Hill, MD near National Harbor or Mount Airy Mansion in Upper Marlboro, MD.
