Hi!
I have also booked Mary's Lake. When is your wedding? Our is going to be Sunday, August 2. I'm kind of freaking out, for some reason. I think Mary's is going to be spectacular and it has everything we want, but I'm freaking out that our liquor bill is going to be WAY high. I'm also freaking out b/c they have a 125 person wedding (that could be you!) on August 1st and I'm worried that the lodging is going to be an issue. I probably shouldn't.
I haven't seen many reviews. I just signed up at weddingwire.com and there are 4 reviews on there - one is great, one is so-so and the other two are about the spa and having their hair and nails done there.
Are you going to have your ceremony there? Maybe I should just im you - can you do that on here? ha.

My wedding is April 25th, so it's definitely not my 125 person wedding causing you stress. I'll only be having 35 guests or so. The ceremony will also be at Marys. As for the liquor bill - that's the one thing I don't like about it - they don't really give you a discount if you do an open bar. It almost seems like I should just give my guests a few bills & say, "go at it!" I'm going to see if maybe doing a "white bar" or just a few signature cocktails would help cut down on the liquor costs. Either that, or I'll just tell everyone to get good and drunk before they get there.
How's the planning going, Ing? We made a trip up to Marys last week to put down the second part of our deposit.
I didn't see this message until just now! It's been on hold with the holidays and I've been doing a lot of travel, but it's going to start ramping up here soon. I got my dress, so that's very exciting! How's it going for you?
Are you going to their tasting? I remember Ann-Marie saying they would be doing one in the spring.
When is the tasting? I didn't realize they were doing one. That may be a good time for us to decide on the entrees for the reception.
I'm set on having an Estes Park wedding, and Marys Lake Lodge is my first choice. Not that I've visited any venues up there yet! The photos on their website look just like what I've been picturing in my mind for my ideal wedding. I'm hoping to get up there within the next few weeks to check some places out. I'm so glad there are other Marys brides here, as I may be one too. 
Just a last minute post for any Marys brides - Ingrid & I will both be attending the tasting tonight with our fiances. Hope to see more of you there!

It was great - definitely helped pick out our entrees. It was also really nice to meet a bunch of other people getting married at Marys. Ann-Marie (the head of their wedding dept) said there will be more tasting dinners like the one we went to, so if you decide to use them as your venue, I'd highly recommend attending a dinner if you get the chance.
I am just wondering how everyones weddings went. I will be getting married at MLL Memorial day weekend. I was wondering if I could see any pitcures to get ideas for decorarting. I am have both my ceremony and my reception there.
Any feedback from ladies who had their ceremony & reception at Mary's? I am thinking about it, and it is currently one of my top contenders, so I'd really appreciate any information or advice you can give me!

Has anyone gotten married at Marys Lake Lodge in Estes Park or been to a wedding there? We've already booked it as our venue, so I hope no one had a horrible experience there, but I'm curious about anyone's impressions/memories of it.
