I was thinking to DIY using mason jar with flowers and use ribbon to hang on ceremony chairs.
Fiance doesn’t like using wire to hang, so I have to go with ribbon. With the jar being so heavy, I am worried about the jar dropping off (we have concrete floor, not grass).
Someone mentioned to me they have seen a florist use jars with holes on the side to hang. Anyone know where to get those? or is it something that I have do it myself?
Is wiring around the tip of the jar and make two wire holes my only option to tie ribbon at this point?

If you use a thin enough ribbon (1.5″ or less) and tie it tightly with a knot, you’ll be fine. You could also use either hot glue or double-sided tape under the ribbon to give it a better grip on the jar. Curious as to why your Fiance nixed the wire… one thought would be to wrap some wire around the mouth of the jar with two loops (one on each side). Then you could loop the ribbon through the wire loops to form a handle; the wire wouldn’t technically be used to hang them, then.

@inspiredcreations: Thank you for the idea! Fiance thinks the wire decor looks too laid back, like a barn type of wedding (to which I disagree). He doesn’t mind the wire on the jar, but not to be used to hang on the chair. He likes it to look more formal. I am actually surprise a guy with no preference in flowers will have so many opinions haha

You can drill holes in class if you get a diamond head bit and put it on a drill. You just have to be careful not to drill it too fast because you can shatter the glass. My mom has done it on glass blocks all the time.
