Mason Jar Mugs–who used them? How did guests react?

If you’re doing different favors aditionally I guess I wouldn’t bother with the Mason jar mugs.

I am pretty sure, people will leave them at a table etc. and forget where they left it and then take a new one. I really like the idea of the lemonade/ice tea/fruit-infused water bar but I’d just go with regular glasses (that can easily be picked up by the waiters and cleaned if needed…)

We’re planning to use them, but we’re not buying them – we can rent them.

If I WAS to buy them, i would buy one per person and skip the chalkboard paint.  I would get little drink identifier tags that people can use, that way if there are leftovers you can box them back up and return them to the store (i would just get the bartender to keep them behind the bar and take some out as needed and have a little sign indicating the mugs are to keep and take home with them, here’s a little tag you can use to claim your mug.

@CelticBeachBride:  I used them (without the handle) I put a chalk sticker on them and had their names written on them, I also used gray striped straws.

We had an outdoor wedding so I thought it fit the relaxed theme. People loved them. Although if you’re having other cups as well I’m not sure how many you would need (I just bought a few more than the amount of guests) We served sparkling lemonade .
