So you could say I am a bit obsessed with mason jars. I want to incorporate them in any way possible into my country wedding. Here is what I am doing so far:

Drink Coaster with Mason Jar Stamps that I had made. I am going to emboss the stamps too, but thats another day.

    And Gallon size drink dispensers:

And Mason Jar themed Escort Card with Stamps. This is the unfinished product:

Mason Jar Soap and Lotion dispensers in the bathrooms:

And last, but not least- Blue Mason Jar Vases:

What about you Bees, are you using Mason Jars? How so?

I collect Ball jars, so we used them in our centerpieces.

So cute!  We used them as candle holders and vases in our centerpieces for our wedding!  We had some from the bicentennial that said 1976 and had the liberty bell on them... which probably meant nothing to everyone else - but for DH and I they represented our union - as he's from Philly (home of the liberty bell) and I was born in 1976.  =D

I just saw something online using old family wedding photo's placed inside the mason jars as part of the table center piece.  I am a very sentimental person and thought this was a great Idea... any other ideas for them I got a ton on sale this past summer and want a creative way to make a table scape?

I am also doing mason jars, and old milk bottles, and any other old glassware I can get my hands on! (I am doing long banquet tables with an eclectic mix)

I have jar envy right now @burlapandlace! Where oh where did you get the gallon drink dispenser mason jars? I want to do lemonade and sweet tea as an ode to my southern gramps!

you can find a TON of blue mason jars on Ebay. they can get pretty pricey depending on the size of the lot and how many crazy people are bidding. thats who i got my collection. though i wish i had the time to go out looking for them. ebay was my only choice.

I used Mason Jars to hold my centerpieces and for everyone's drinks during the night. We also used the lids from the Mason Jars as the escort cards. You can see pics on our photographer's website.

@Randi Aud: Sorry it took me so long to reply. I forgot where I bought them online and took me forever to find it. But I did!

    Here is the link:

    http://ruralroot-store.stores.yahoo.net/bonegacojarw.html

FYI: I've done lemonade before in a similar dispenser. Just be careful because sometimes the pulp can get stuck. You might want to do a test run.

    I'm obsessed too! http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_friendshipjar.html

I'm using these stamps and diecuts (the joys of working at a school with a diecut machine).....for programs, escort cards, table numbers, thank you cards.....and anything else I can come up with!! Plus, our vases are jars, and we got a masonjar gumball machine for our dessert table!

We are going to use them to hold flowers for our aisle decor!

After the ceremony, we're going to take them and put them on the cocktail tables as centerpieces. Double duty, ya'll!

Here is my inspiration pic for the round guest tables: but take the scattered loose sand out of the equation and throw in a tree cut slice (about an inch think) underneath the jars, with different colored moss around the base. Sounds funky, but I can see it in my head!

@VagabondGurl: Is that a cut of tree branch in the bottom of the jar?! It's very cute whatever it is, I was planning on using river stone but maybe I can alternate and do some with stone, some with branch cuts!

I love blue mason jars but they are soooo expenisive. Then I found this blog post, http://www.i-do-it-yourself.com/2010/05/diy-aqua-mason-jars/

No one would ever know that they weren't the real thing!

If you want one that is blank inside or says the "sip and repeat" just ask her. She is awesome!

@Mrs.tobe: I am doing a tree slice too! Here is my very rough mock up (without flowers, or the birdhouse stained) and my inspiration:

Its still needs work, but so far I love it.

@crazyquilter: I am using this...thanks for the link. I am a little worried about the jars exploding in my oven but I am still going to try it. I checked ebay and the price for 12 blue jars is $60...not happening.

I almost forgot. I got these great solar powered blue mason jar lamps online. I am going to use them on the cocktail tables during the cocktail hour which will be held on a huge deck. They are kind of pricey so I only got a set of four. I am not sure how many tables there will be, but I am sure this is fine. Here are some pictures:

The deck I will be using is actually around the corner and much wider, but I could not find a picture.

PS here is where I got the lamps:

I am so excited to use these in my backyard after the wedding :)

I loooove mason jars! Weirdly enough though, I heard somewhere that you can't use them with candles because there's a chance they could overheat and explode! I'm not sure if that's totally true, but even if you use them for cocktails it'd be super cute. I think it's a great way to have a more down-to-earth, country feel. It's a great motif that's not overused.

I'm planing on using the blue mason jars as vases too.

I also really like the "firefly/ lightning bug" lantern idea.

BurlapAndLace, where did you get the giant clothespins and the birdhouses?

I got the clothespin and birdhouse from:

    http://www.woodcrafter.com

but if you google 6 inch or 9 inch clothespins, there are a ton of results.

Does anyone know where I can get Mason Jars for cheap. I want to have 3 different sizes and at least one size with a glass clamp cover. Please let me know if anyone is aware of a wholesale site or something of that nature:-)

@LNT: How many mason jars do you have in your basement? I'm collecting 500 mason jars for our daughter's wedding - 16 ounce - multi colored is fine - no lids necessary. We live in Ventura, CA.
