Not sure what the official word is, but I had one at around 7 weeks, and I'm 29 weeks now, so it was fine for me. I told the massage therapist that I was pregnant. She was trained in prenatal massage, but except for using unscented oil, my first trimester massage was the same as all my pre-pregnancy massages. I would check with your OB/midwife to make sure it's okay for you if you're worried about it.
I work at a massage clinic and I have heard both ways also. Here is the deal. It is up to your Dr. and your massage therapist. Most therapists are not OK with doing massage during the first trimester because of the large risk of miscarrage. My recommendation, wait until you are through your frist trimester. As the risks are low, it is still not worth the risk because you never know how your body is going to react to the release of the toxins. But if you really would like to get one, talk to your Dr. first to make sure that you have no hidden risks.
Thanks, guys! I talked with my doctor and he's not omfortable with me getting one, so I'm going to wait until my second trimester!

I have heard both ways on professional Massages in the first Trimester. Does anyone know what the real deal is? Thanks in advance! = )
