My brother acted as a “master of ceremony” in my other brother’s wedding.  He basically “talked” everyone through the wedding — announcing readings, songs, lighting of the unity candle, etc.  He stood next to the minister.

We are having a master and mistress of ceremony and basically they help with whatever is needed during the day.  They will be setting up the chairs at the chapel and making sure everything is arranged as I would like, they will be at the  back of the church letting everyone know when to walk down the aisle, they will be in charge of making sure anything that needs to go to the reception from the church gets there, they will be setting up the escort card table and placing favors at each place setting.  Basically saves you some service charges from your vendors!!  Also a great way to have a favorite aunt and uncle involved 🙂
