So today I received my custom made dress (yay!) and I love it, though it does need a few adjustments as I lost weight since I ordered it 3 months ago and they accidentally stitched the belt in the wrong place.
It’s a creamy coloured satin with an ivory lace over it, and looks like a colour between the two in normal light. However, ALL the stores in my area (and that I can find online) seem only to sell white, ivory or blush veils. I tried ordering one in what was described as ‘ivory creme’ but it’s more like the ivory colour of my lace. Here is a photo of the two of them side by side.
My question is – do you think they work together? I’ve been told repeatedly I have no concept of fashion sense, so I’m putting this in your capable hands, hive! Otherwise.. what to do? =S

I don’t think that veil works with your dress. It’s not just the color, it’s the satin edging that I don’t think works, mostly because it’s so white.
I think you should look online for a vintage veil, might have better luck with the color, and maybe even the lace pattern if you want that.
I wasn’t going to wear a veil, but my mom suggested I try hers when I was trying on my dress for her & my sister, and it was a perfect match!
But I have a question… if your dress was custom made, can they make you a matching veil?
Or maybe ask if they can provide you with some length of the lace fabric they used and you could have a veil made from that? I’m looking at the shoulder area and thinking that could work very well for veil edging.

You should look for vintage veils on Etsy! Or even homemade ones. I think you need an off-white one with lacy edging.

If your worried about the colour you can go to your dress maker and ask them to dye it to match.
