the sweetheart neckline on my dress is VERY blingy (see pic).. what i have been thinking about doing is matching the bling with the cake, bouquet holder, etc…. but the thing is, our wedding colors are black & champagne gold, and the bling on my dress gives off a silver tone. should i just let my dress stand out so it doesn’t become a problem with the silver/champagne gold tones, or try to incorporate my dress into the rest of the decor?

I guess my question isn’t so much if I should do bling… it’s if the bling doesn’t match up well with one the wedding colors of champagne gold?

Personally I wouldnt add bling to the reception decor. The decor doesnt have to match the dress

I dont think its a big deal if the bling on your dress doesnt match. I’m one of the crazy people who always mixes silver and gold and sparkles… but I guarentee no one will look at your dress and go wait! Her dress bling is different than her wedding colors!

I understand the dilemma… lots of bling is silver. A lot of cake stands and cake servers are silver so they’re never going to “match”. I think a rhinestone cake topper on a white cake will look fine no matter what your color scheme.
If you like sparkle add it to other things too and it’ll all come together just fine. You don’t have to match the type of sparkle on your dress exactly, just sparkle in general. This will tie it together.
