this is my first post, so hello everyone 🙂
I’m just looking for a bit of advice/inspiration regarding my wedding colours! I had planned to go with pink everything, and was planning on having an ivory gown, however I have fallen in love with a blush pink gown by essense of Australia (which I’ve now ordered) however I’m now having to rethink the colours of the bridesmaids which will still tie in with all the other pink accents, any ideas? I’m not a fan of slate/grey and it’s a summer wedding 🙂
i also definitely want to wear a veil and can’t decide between blush pink or ivory,
any advice would be much appreciated 🙂

joanna.ball.902: You coud switch things up and have the bridesmaids in ivory.
They can also wear lavender, pale blue, apricot, mint, dusty shale, white (like Pippa), a very soft butter yellow.
There are some ideas in these threads:

julies1949: Oo I second your soft butter yellow idea, that sounds perfect ! My 2nd is choice lavender, followed by mint.

joanna.ball.902: Veil-wise, I would tone the pink down with a white veil but perhaps dipped in pink at the ends so it blends into the dress?

I too am wearing a blush dress. My bridesmaids are going to be wearing hunters green.
I think Ivory, champagne or lavender would look wonderful though. Congrats on the engagment!

For a veil I am wearing a blush veil. It looked better with my dress. Your dress could look better with white though! (I also LOVE that line of wedding dresses…especially in the blush)

thanks for the replies 🙂 I love the butter yellow idea and the lilac, maybe I could do different colours? I do like the ivory idea however I’m a little worried that it will make my dress look pinker!? Has anyone seen any pics of it?
@akkaer1 I think I’m leaning toward a blush veil, do you have any pics?

joanna.ball.902: maybe consider a dusty purple for bridesmaids against your blush dress? if you don’t like that, try looking http://www.theperfectpalette.com/ – there are plenty of ideas there. also definitely a blush veil to match your gown.

I think the veil’s color depends on the shade of blush you’re wearing. Aside from the possibility of looking too “matchy-matchy” (which you may or may not like), I think having a blush veil with a blush dress could get tricky; you’d have to see how your dress’ color matches with the veil’s shade of blush. However, most ivory veils work well with blush dresses, so I think it’s a safer bet. I’m wearing a blush dress myself, but since it’s a very subtle shade of blush & my dress has an ivory lace overlay, I chose an ivory veil. It’s perfect!
