For me personally wearing too much glittery nail polish takes away from the beauty of my ring. It’s like to people fighting on black friday over cheap tupperware. So I knocked down my glitz and keep it more contained. I don’t know much about “matching” my nail polish to my ring, I think I’d have to just wear a simple coat of clear to “match”. I do think I get tons of compliments when I wear my deep red nail polish. Sealed

@HonoraryNerd:  No, but if I had thought about it, it would.

My ring doesn’t contain any actual colours (unless gold counts as a colour), so it would be hard for anything not to “match”. But I generally am too active to wear polish, and I only wear a manicure for a special occasion.

I try to match, but it’s because I have a sapphire. When I wear red nail polish, it looks like my hand is celebrating the fourth of July, lol.

I like bright nail polish, and my rings haven’t changed that. I can’t have painted nails at work, but I still do fun colors on the weekends sometimes.

I own the rainbow and then some of polish and they all look good, however I will say that on the rare occasion when my nails are black my ring pops that much more!

I dont know about matching, but I choose colors that dont look ridiculous with my red stones (e.g., hot orange, neon green). Everything else though looks fine. Black, red, pink, nude, lilac, even pale blue and mint 🙂

@HonoraryNerd:  I put on a teal nail polish the other day (just because i liked the colour) and found it was almost the same shade as my ring……when I pointed it out poudly to my husband he rolled his eyes…..but seceretly he was dead chuffed that I am still obsesed with my engagement ring 🙂

I select nail polish that will look good with my work attire.  I supervise people that are required to dress professionally, so I must lead by example.  I range from nude to dark red without added designs or glitter.  My ring does not factor in the color selection.

I always go with neutral colors but not be ause of my rings.  I just think I look best with calm colors.

I honestly never heard of or thought of matching my polish to match my ring. I find that notion a little sad and silly

I only matched my polish when I was first presented my ring. It’s an aquamarine so I wanted to highlight the color. I didn’t match my ring to my skin because I wanted the stone to match my FI’s eyes. Everyone has their reasons. Other than that, my nails are bare because I just can’t be bothered regular nail maintenance. 🙂
