I’m in the same boat, the wedding band that matches my e ring is $850, with no gemstones, just 14 k gold. It seems very high for a wedding band with no diamonds. I wouldn’t be bothered by the price so much if it had diamonds. However I am having a super hard time finding a band that goes great with the ring. So I might just have to buy it.

I have a very similar Ritani setting and will not be getting the matching band. I plan on going to a jeweler and trying on different styles of bands until I find one that I like. Like your setting, mine sits high on my finger so I’m thinking it will be easy to find a band that sits flush with the ring and compliments it nicely. I personally don’t like the look of a matching set anyway, so my decision was easy.

@LAWest:  Yay, we’re ring twins!!!  I was sooooo excited when I read Tacori in the title and when I clicked it, to see that it was same ring!  I’ve yet to meet any other ring twin =)

I actually was in the exact same boat as you are just last week.  My FI and I were a little concerned about the price and safety with having so much bling on my finger (that’s a lot of money to have on one finger…lolz).  So for a really long time, I thought about going with just a simple band since he already spent so much on the e-ring.  We went back to the store he purchased the ring from and I tried the matching wedding band again and it was still as gorgeous as I remembered (we ring-shopped together).  I told the sales person that I thought about going with a plain band so she handed me a Tacori ring and told me to turn it so only the plain side showed…and it just didn’t look right.  I also thought about going with a half eternity band that wasn’t Tacori but then I realized that the taper of the band on the e-ring was why FI and I fell in love with this ring in the first place.  So FI and I decided we’re going to go with the matching band afterall (with half eternity…I don’t need to be super paranoid about losing the diamonds in an eternity ring).  Everything else just didn’t look as perfect.  In the end, it’s based on your preference but it was worth it to us.  Also, another way I help FI deal with the cost is to think of it as something that’s forever and hopefully that makes it a little better.

@LAWest:  I’ll probably try local jewelers first just to gauge what looks good with my e-ring, and then go from there. If I don’t like anything I see then I might consider going the custom route, depending on how much that is.

I’ve looked online too but it’s so hard to tell how something will actually look on my hand. I’m hoping a jeweler will have an opinion, or at least a nice selection to play around with.

The e-ring I will be getting is also a Tacori and I plan on going to ShaneCo for a half-eternity band with teensy weensy little diamonds. I tried on the matching band for my Tacori and it was gorgeous against the detail of the engagement ring. I think having a custom band made will cut your wedding band budget in half.

I have a different tacori but I will be getting the matching band. My fiancé splurged on the engagement ring, so he said I might as well get the matching band. Yay! Lol

Laurie Sarah on etsy makes a copy of that band, around $1500 I think!

I would get it custom made to match your e-ring. It would probably be about half the cost.

@LAWest:  look up scott kay Heaven’s Gate collection, you will find bands that are the same in style, but not the same price as Tacori. This is my set, it is hand crafted, has the milgrain and details too. I t

hink you can get the .50 carat for around 2k… and the .31 carat for 1500.
