I have two weddings to attend this fall/winter. One in October, and the other will be the end of December. I possibly have a third wedding sandwhiched in the middle, but I don’t know if I want to travel for a long car ride at 6 months pregnant…
Anyway, I’ll be needing a pretty dress to wear then. I came across TiffanyRose.com and they have some really great dresses, but they are pricey!
I feel like too many maternity dressy-dresses are cheesy looking. I want to dress like me, and not settle for something just because it fits. I wont purchase anything until the weddings get closer, but it’s fun to get ideas now.
This is one of my favorites on tiffany rose:

That’s a gorgeous dress. You can most likely get away with a non maternity empire waist dress though and save some money! Even if it needed a small alteration, your price tag would probably still come in under mat clothes. I hate the markup and lack of options so I found regular tops that worked with a belly and wore those instead of maternity tops all the way until I delivered.

What about Rent The Runway? They have several dresses/gowns that are bump friendly (they even have a search option for bump friendly dresses). Also, Asos.com has some pretty dressier dresses. They have a couple longer dresses and some lace options that look really pretty and the prices are pretty reasonable with free shipping and returns. Good luck!! I’m very happy to not have any weddings this fall/winter! 🙂

ive been looking at normal dresses with empire waist. theres nothing ive found in maternity dresses that i really love – theres so much less choice, and all for a higher cost!!
i have a wedding end of august (which *should* be fine, i just need to disguise the bloat) and then one in late november by which point i think i will look pretty pregnant

I have a wedding to go to in August, and I went to the mall and just tried on styles that were wide in the mid-section. I found a very nice dress at Macys that is a regular-size formal dress.

This is definitely something worth checking a maternity consignment store for. I bought this fantastic and totally cute maternity cocktail dress at a consignment shop for like $25. You can get some really great stuff and save a lot of money that way, since most people don’t exactly wear formal maternity wear on the regular …
