DH and I were engaged on the beach of Captiva Island, FL in Nov 2010. We were then married on the beach in Sanibel Island, FL (connected to Captiva Island) in Nov 2011. So when we planned a trip to the Ft. Myers/Naples/Sanibel area for January of this year – we live in the Chicago, IL suburbs – I knew we had to have our maternity photos done on the same island we were married on. I just received the photos back this weekend and thought I’d post a few (ok…maybe more than a few!).

@FewChaMrsBrown: Holy crap! Small world 🙂
Thanks, Ladies!! I think the photographer did an amazing job. And kudos to DH who hates, and I mean hates, taking photos. He was such a good sport about it. Although, he did whine and complain plenty leading up to the photos 😉

Sanibel/Captiva is our favorite spot on earth! So pretty. Love it! Make sure to pick up a few shells while you are there 🙂

Love the pics! And sanibel/captiva is so pretty…is the bubble room still in business down there?
Yes, Bubble Room is still going strong. Our favorite place to eat on the Island is Lazy Flamingo. DH loves their oysters and clams. And I love their clam chowder soup. We ate there a couple hours before we took our photos.
The shells are amazing! DH and I have a gorgeous wedding photo of us on a ton of shells. It’s actually one of my favorite photos.
