Hey all… My co-worker was heavily pregnant last winter and really had a hard time finding a maternity winter coat that didn’t cost a fortune, let alone a cute one! She ended up not buying one at all and instead wore an oversize coat that a friend lent her. However, I just looked on Motherhood Maternity for the heck of it, and they have one on there that I adore for only $40… But I’m also only 5w2d pregnant! So SUPER early! I’m just wondering, is this such a good price now because it’s July, and the prices will just go right back up once we approach the fall and witner months? Or should I just wait it out? I hate to buy anything now and get so ahead of myself, but at the same time… $40! Thoughts?

$40 is a pretty good price. the thing is, you don’t really know what size you’ll be that far in the future. as a general rule, i’ve found preemptive buying to be a bad thing for that reason.

@CuriousOne: Good point. Totally makes sense! I’m on the verge of L/XL in pretty much everything across the board pre-pregnancy, so my only real choice here is to buy an XL. But if it runs a little small or I gain more weight than expected, I’d be pretty much SOL. Hmmm…

It’s probably from last winter so the price will not likely go up but could sell out. I would wait it out but only bc you’re so early in your pregnancy.
