This is your wedding, of course it’s okay!  You can also have 2 matrons of honors too if you choose.

Congratulations on your engagement!

I believe that people are really flexible these days, and whatever is your preference is is fine.  Techcnically, I don’t know if you’re supposed to have both a maid and a matron of honor, but I’ve seen people with two maids of honor or no maids of honor and just bridesmaids.  My older sister is my maid of honor – I think she’s supposed to be a "matron" since she’s married, but she doesn’t like the sound of that – so she’s a maid!  So whatever you feel most comfortable with is fine, in my opinion! Good luck!

Hmmmm I don’t know if that works if they are both married because technically your best friend would also be a matron.

They would both be matron of honor since matron means married and maid is unmarried. But you could totally have two matrons of honor! Sounds like fun to me.

My sister is acting as my matron of honor and my best friend is my maid of honor (she’s unmarried).  Although both your sister and your best friend are married, I think it would be okay to have them both act as matrons of honor.  Like my mom said when I asked her what she thought about it, "Honey, it’s your day, you can do whatever you want."  🙂

My sister is my MOH … in fact, I want her to be the only one standing with me, … besides the ring bearer and flower girl. Oh and fiance’s best man … I love my wedding party.

Absolutely! Do whatever you want-its your wedding! I was a maid of honor in a wedding along with a matron of honor. The bride asked us to decide how we wanted to divy up the responsibilities (for example, I signed the marriage license, the matron of honor stood next to the bride in the ceremony and we both gave toasts).

Congrats!

I have a MAID and MATRON of honor.

They’re my best friends from grade school.  We made up a best friends club called "BFFE" Best Friends For Ever.  Needless to say, back in grade school when we made up the name, we didn’t know "Forever" was one word.

It makes it even more special to us!
