I would go with matte because matte feels more traditional and heirloom-like to me. Metallic sounds too flashy.
I think that metallic photo paper is beautiful and striking, but I wouldn't do a whole album of metallic photographs. It's too bad you can't request that the album be matte but that one or two of your favorite pages be metallic. It would add an dramatic and surprising pop of visual interest.
Yeah, I'm with Sweet Melissa, a whole album of metallic photos would be waaayy too much. I would stick with matte!
@Sweet Melissa: I agree with you completely. I was going to suggest the same thing with selecting a few to have printed and framed in metallic. Yahoooooooooooo!

I am sending in my wedding photos today for my album - I need to check off Metallic or Matte for the album pages?
Thoughts? Has anyone had experience with how matte looked vs. metallic? I heard over time metallic could stick together.
