I want to give my bridesmaids options for their dress in terms of sillouette, necklines, etc. but want them to be in the same color/fabric. Of the couple of dresses I like to offer, some are matte satin and some are renaissance satin. Is there a big difference? I have a fabric swatch of the matte satin and love it… but don’t want to make a mistake by “mixing” the fabrics.

@google: Is there a store near you that carries Dessy? Your best bet would be to look at the fabrics in person. I’ve noticed that some materials that look good in pictures don’t look as great in person. Good luck! 🙂

I chose Matte Satin as well, it’s so beautiful. I could tell a difference between the two satins. The renaissance is really shiny compared to the Matte. I loved the Matte. I personally don’t like super shiny Satin, which is why I chose the Matte. It still shines and looks silky, but not nearly as much as the Ren Satin. Here’s my bridesmaids dresses, in Regalia Matte Satin. Pictures just don’t do these dresses justice, must be seen in person!
