@mveach: Sounds like pastels are your friend. Find a shade that compliments you. Soft pink, butter yellow, sky blue or pale green. Find a couple dress ideas and perhaps you can show them to her for her approval/thoughts. A two piece might be just the ticket as long as it is still romantic to compliment her overall tone of the day.
Total shot in the dark here, but what about this in "mink"?:
Are you looking for floor-length, too? Off the shoulder-too or something different? Is her whole dress organza or just the neckline adornment?

I posted earlier about being the only attendant for a bride who is 60+ (so am I). She has chosen her dress -- a two-piece long dress with a slim skirt and an off-the-shoulder neckline. The color is a very, very pale peach, and the only adornment is the neckline, which consists of two layers of organdy in the same shade of peach; the neckline, as I mentioned, is off the shoulder.
It looks beautiful on her, and it is exactly what she was looking for. But I'm still in a quandary because her dress is extremely plain, and I don't want to outshine her -- so I don't know what to look for. A very elegant suit in a complementary color? And if so, what color? Her wedding is going to be very small, and she doesn't have a "color scheme" as many brides do. The wedding is in late April, and I do know that she wants a spring look, so I don't want anything dark. She said I should choose whatever I like and would be able to wear on other occasions, but I also want to please her.
At least in Chicago, not many spring choices are in the stores yet, so all the gowns, dresses, and suits I've been seeing are wintry looking and highly embellished.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!
