Happy negative-7-month anniversary, ladies!
Am I the only one who feels like time is absolutely flying by??? Today, I think we finally just found an officiant and a DJ (I have abandoned the iPod reception idea)! What are you all working on?

I can’t believe it! Time is indeed flying by. We have been engaged for 14 months today–I thought it would feel like forever before we got to this point. We have most everything booked at this point–just moving on to more nitty gritty details.

I’m Friday the 13th, but yes, I can’t believe it!

@anon12345: I know, time flies. I feel like I’m falling behind. I still need to book a florist, DJ, cake, still need to do Save the Dates. Feeling a little overwhelmed with planning. LOL!!!

gah! It’s coming up fast!
so far we have:
-guest houses rented
-instead of a cake, we’re having coldstone ice-cream cupcakes (still need a tier for us to cut)
-ordering invitations tomorrow
-a band/iPod for band to man during breaks
-flower lady is getting back to me by tomorrow
-rehearsal dinner spot
-hair/makeup for morning of
-honeymoon cruise around greece: airfare booked and cruise deposit paid
-bridesmaid dresses/wedding party clothes (hubby too!)
-wedding party gifts
how about the rest of you? I’m not doing STD’s – I figure if I send out invitations 6 mo. in advance, that’s early enough, and our families already know the date, so it’s all good.

goodness!! Time isn’t going fast for me 🙁 It still like forever until May 14th…

I was just thinking about all the things I still need to do! On the list:
-Book a DJ
-Book a florist
-Choose bridesmaids dresses
-Choose a cake design (already have a baker)
-Book rehearsal dinner spot
AHHHHHH. I feel like pretty much everything else is done (haha, I’m sure I’m sadly mistaken).

time is definitely flying by! so far we’ve taken care of;
-ceremony/reception location (FIL’s backyard)
-space planning for said FIL’s backyard
we’ve decided on but not yet put deposits;
-event rental company
-DIY invitation desgins in Photoshop
-Music track list and IPOD vs DJ debate
laurabobora, why did you end up deciding against the IPOD?
Post # 10
@buttertart: Sorry! I just saw this now!
We decided against the iPod because it ended up getting extremely complicated to rent a decent sound system and necessary insurance. Turns out that renting professional quality speakers was just as expensive with/without the DJ!
We ended up finding a great DJ with excellent references who feels the same way we do about cheesy DJs (ie. they make him cringe), so that is a plus too!
