- Wedding: May 2017
Hello my fellow bees!
I finally received my professional pictures of my wedding and now can finally write the recap I wanted.
For some of you, you may remember my heart attack moment when my now BIL called me the night before the wedding saying that he never purchased the vest I had requested. Well, he showed up to the wedding in a kind-of red vest. My photographer did a great job editing the pictures to help this siutation. The vest was a bright red that was SHIMMERY (ugh), and then he had the audacity to tell me that he liked his way better and everyone else looked worse than he did. Whatever.
As some of you commented, hopefully that was the worst thing that happened at my wedding, well, unfortunately that was the LEAST of my worries! To give a quick breakdown of my horrors:
1) The night before the wedding, I got my nails done. I have very long natural nails and just wanted a nice gel overlay. The lady made my nails HORRENDOUSLY thick and uneven. So thick my thumb nail BROKE THE DAY OF MY WEDDING.
2) I was very concerened about my hair and makeup the day of the wedding, and man I had every reason. My hairdresser was in SUCH a rush to finish me, she completely half asses my hair! It was NOTHING like our trial and NOTHING like my reference pictures! I HATED IT. Hate doesn’t even beging to describe how I felt about my hair. Unfortuantely, there was one thing I hate more than my hair and that was the makeup she did. I had an outdoor wedding and she never brought me outside to check anything. My face was THREE shades darker my natural complexion. I started BALLING when I got to my car. My wedding was in two hours and I still needed to make an hour drive to my venue. Luckily, my MOH suggested we run into Sephora and see if they can fix anything. They were MIRACLE workers and completely transformed me into a glowing princess!
3) My DJ was the worst man on this entire earth! He was recommened by my venue corrdinator, so I though things would be fine. WRONG! His music was so soft for the outisde ceremony, no on heard anything. Then for the reception, he played all the speciality dances one after the other and half my guests got bored and LEFT! Then he did all the dances like Cha-Cha Slide, Electric Slide, etc one after the other, the proceeded to play like, funeral music! Finally, I said F-This and plugged in PANDORA….PANDORA, yes you read that right! I’m in a battle with him right now to get my money back. I’m winning.
However, I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! Yes, I would have changed some things, but I’m a Mrs now and I’m so happy! Here are some of my favorite pictures 🙂
