It looks like we’re getting married in May 2013, although we have not confirmed a date yet.  It’s kind of why I’m leaning more towards the middle of the month.  May can go either way, particularly the early dates!

Did you check the farmer’s almanac to see what it said?  Also, are you having a tent or a back up plan?

To be fair, even if you have a wedding in June or July, it does not guarantee you’ll have perfect weather either.  Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

We’re getting married May 4th, as well and the ceremony is outside, reception inside. We have a plan B (ceremony takes place inside and transition to reception space), but I really want the outdoor ceremony. I just keep telling myself it won’t rain and if it does? Well, there’s nothing I can do about it!! As everyone says, all that matters is that at the end of the day you married your best friend.

@GlynnBugg13:  What do you mean by “in front of a DJ booth?”

well I’ve looked up weather stats in our country and it says that it usually only rains about 3 times in May. We’re keeping our fingers crossed as it’s a garden wedding, but if it rains, our venue will have the ballroom on standby.

@GlynnBugg13:

We’re May 4th date aswell – and we’re def planning for all types of weather.

If you’re worried that it may end up indoors in front of the DJ, why dont you arrange to have a large screen up blocking the view of the DJ and you could project images onto the screen. So pre-entry it could be pictures of you and your H2B, and then during the ceremony have pretty pics up.

I am trying not to think about the weather at this point.  (though I know I will worry when it gets closer.) I selected a venue that has indoor and outdoor options.

We’re doing May 18th in Wisconsin. Our venue is a local park but we rented an enclosed barn pavilion that can accomodate 500 (we’re inviting 180) just in case it’s terrible weather we can all hang out inside without being squished together.

We are having the ceremony and reception all inside. I worry most about having tornados since we are in Kansas and May is right in the middle of tornado season 🙁 But I am hoping for the best! (I really do want outdoor pics though)
