Hello May Bees!
I am planning a destination wedding in Aruba on Friday May, 7th with a Michigan reception June 19th. (I was hoping to secure June 5th, but our location is booked...) It is coming soooo fast and I have very little finished. SCARY!
We finally decided on the Aruba ceremony and reception site and put the deposit down a couple weeks ago! Yay! I'm soooo excited! It's at the Aruba Marriot and Stellaris Casino on Palm Beach. I love it! Some pictures below :)
We are currently working on save the dates. My lovely sister took our engagement photos and is creating a save the date. The only other thing I have crossed off is my dress! I think we will be making our own invitations so we will start working on that soon, but I'm feeling way off track!
We have the menu, centerpieces for Aruba figured out... I think! We are still working on decor for the ceremony. But we haven't fully nailed down what we are doing for our Michigan reception. We don't have a very large budget for the MI reception and we aren't planning on anything very formal. We want it to be classy but fun. We are tossing around the idea of a pizza reception (inspiration from Ms Potato Chips) pictures attached. But how do you keep pizza warm? Especially since our reception most likely will be more like an open house... unless we say "dinner at _:__" and can you do that with an informal reception?
How is everyone's planning coming along??
