Starting a new thread. Mainly because I'm tired of trying to figure out where I left off reading (page 9? page 10?) and loading problems can't be far away.

If you need to get caught up, here's a link to Part 2: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/may-babies-part-2

Well, I have been a slacker in posting the past couple days!

All has been good here, ultrasound went well, they were able to see everything they missed last time. Baby is 1 pound 14 ounces now, and by measurement looks more like 26 weeks 4 days than 25 weeks 3 days (but we likely won't change the due date to April 28th). Baby was moving like crazy during the ultrasound, but we were able to get some good pics, I might get DH to scan and I will post some later (as well as a belly pic that I keep forgetting to get DH to email me).

I think I might have gotten a glimpse of the sex of the baby when the tech was moving the probe to see the legs, but I am not 100% sure and therefore are keeping it to myself (I did tell DH). We still want to be team green, so I won't be looking for confirmation, and there is always a chance I didn't see what I thought I did.

I went to aquacise last night, and it was a different instructor than usual, and she totally kicked out butts! My belly is sore from all the bouncing around! I have a prenatal massage in a couple hours, and I am very much looking forward to it.

I will also be booking the glucose tolerance test for sometime next week, I am a little nervous about it, because of my PCOS history, and the fact that baby is already so big!

@Goldilocks1107:  I thought I had our whole nursery planned out, but then DH started requesting to add in Owls in stuff (the wall decal and the mobile), so now we have an evolving theme! Glad to hear you got your mat pants ... they are the most comfortable thing to wear ever! I have been browsing baby sales and picking up clothes here and there, but I am trying to stop until after I have showers, because I know people will go clothes crazy!

@winniewolf:  I think the 3rd Tri starts at 27 weeks. Yay for your hubby feeling the baby move, I was so excited for my DH when he first felt it!

@MissDareDevil:  My IL's ask about the pregnancy when we see them in person (about once a month), but they don't call to ask about it or anything. Your crib is gorgeous! You seem like you are really starting to get things done! I took a quick glance at your blog, and your nursery looks like it is going to be so bright and colourful!

@magilnyc:  Love the picture! You look great!

@LAGS:  I like your wall and curtain combo! I totally understand how the pictures don't really accurately show the colours. I definitely feel like baby has been getting stronger and stronger. Lots of times the movements at night are enough to wake me up, which is so wierd!

@Ms Mini:  I have a prenatal massage tomorrow, and I'm practically giddy in anticipation. Our new gym has water classes, but the pool is only 4'3" deep which makes it really hard for me to get a good water workout for my upper body - considering a big chunk of me is out of water.

I've been rocking the elliptical at the gym and doing dumb bell exercises for my arms. Plus taking 2 10-15 minute walks at work each day. I think the walks are helping with the low back pain I've started developing.

I'm thinking we're going to have 3 baby registries - BRU, Target and Amazon. At first, I was only going to do Target and BRU, but I really want to register for lots of children's books to read to the baby, and Amazon has the best prices. So, in comes a third registry.

@Ms Mini:  Glad that the AS went well!  Just stick your fingers in your ear and say "lalallala" re: the gender : )  Sounds like you had a nice day planned today!

@LAGS:  I really do like the color combo (and you're right from the pictures it doesn't look too bright there)

@Goldilocks1107:  Your workouts are the same as mine - elliptical, hand weights and walking.  I have officially given up jogging as the pressure down below was getting to be too much.  I also have bad low back pain lately - sitting at my desk 10 hours a day is hell.  Got a low back lumbar support and at first it seemed to work, but now my back just frieking hurts.

We also have 3 registries - BRU, Amazon, and Pottery Barn (just a few items...mobile, critter towels, sheets, bedskirt...).  I might try to get rid of Amazon, though.  I know the prices there are better, but I also know that most of my family and parents friends like going to the store to shop.

I'm in a foul mood today re: back pain and I'm going to be slammed at work for the next few weeks...meaning I have to work this weekend.  I am SO over it.  I made a promise to baby WW that I wouldn't work any more weekends after my trial in December.  A month later and I'm already breaking a promise : (

@Ms Mini:  Oh dear, sorry you may have seen! Although I'd agree that one glimpse at a certain cross section can definitely be misleading. Will you be the first of us to take the glucose test? I'll send some early good luck your way!

@winniewolf:  Thank you! I keep complaining about the color to my Mom but she's only seen pictures, I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm crazy.

I ended up making a few extra registries: Amazon, Diapers.com and Target ontop of my Babies R Us and Walmart ones but wont be sharing them with anyone... I just did it for the completion discounts in case I'm still in need of some larger items. :)

@LAGS:   I think the wall color and curtains look great! But maybe I am  biased, because I have bright colored paint in the nusery with VERY bright curtains.

The paint went on the chandelier pretty well, but honestly I would just spray paint it next time around. The reason I didn't spray paint is because we had so much snow outside (and I can only spray paint outside) and I wanted to get it done right away. I covered it with a clear coat, so you can't see the brush strokes. Krylon makes the BEST spray paint colors...you can even buy speciality colors online.

The chandelier we have is only $40 at Ikea. Totally worth it! Home Depot.com has some cute ones too.

@Goldilocks1107:  pre-natal massage... lucky! That sounds amazing. I wonder if that would help with my SI joint pain. What sort of place do you get a pre-natal massage? Chiropractor's office?

@Ms Mini:  Oh no, maybe you didn't see what you think you saw! I know that sometimes baby parts can look weird though. We are having  a girl and yesterday I totally thought I saw a penis from a certain angle in the ultra sound.

I had an ultrasound yesterday... YAY! We could see so much... even the baby's eyes moving around and her tongue going in and out of her mouth. It is insane to see every single detail like that!! She has been head down and face down the whole time, so hopefully she doesn't move and I can have a vaginal delivery if my BP doesn't spike.

She is measuring in the 38th percentile and is on track to weight mid 6 pounds at full term... which is great news!

I asked my doctor about going back to work and she said she does not feel comfortable giving me a note until 28 weeks. That way if something DOES happen (blood pressure spike or pre-term labor), I will be far enough along that the baby can survive outside of the womb...but that is still a very scary thought! Makes me think that going back to work is not even worth it...

After a quiet week on this thread it is so nice to hear everyone's update!!!

@Goldilocks1107: & @Ms Mini:  Yay for prenatal massages! I'm scheduled to get one tomorrow as well. Hubby made a surprise appt for me after my rough day I had yesterday. Enjoy them!

I'm scheduled to have the 3d/4d ultrasound on Saturday. I cannot wait!

@winniewolf:  Aww sorry about the crappy day :( Sucks when work never seems to settle down.

I forgot to mention (how fitting) that my prego brain has been amusing lately. Earlier tonight I went to the kitchen to throw a few things away, but I walked to the refrigerator and opened it. I stood there a little confused then it dawned on me that I needed to throw the stuff I had in my hands away lol.

Edited to add: This was much more amusing in person, I promise. After reading it, it sounded kinda lame! :P

@MissDareDevil:  I've gotten my prenatal massages at regular spa/salons and today's is at my gym. All your really need to do when making an appointment is ask if the masseuse is trained in prenatal massage. I've found that most in my area have been, so it's been easy to get in.

I'd also be thinking it wouldn't be worth going back to work if the doc is still worried about blood pressure spikes . . . or maybe wait until you're in your 30 week range so she's a bit bigger? I hope things continue to go well though!

@LAGS:  Good thought on the private registries. I might have to do that too. Yay for completion bonuses. I have to go into Target one of these days to get my little packet of awesomeness - I started my registry online so I haven't gotten my goodie bag yet.

@winniewolf:  Sorry about the back pain (and the weekend work). I've been having some back issues too and have been making more of an effort to do the cat/cow stretch at home in the evenings. Not sure if it's helping, but it feels nice so . . . whatever. Today I'm tempted to go to work in the building atrium because there's some tall tables that I can put my laptop on and work standing up. Is looking into something like that a possibility for you? Like a little platform you can put on your desk? That way, you can change your position during the day?

@LAGS:  I LOVE the nursery!  Too cute!  Where did you get the curtains?  They are adorable.

@MissDareDevil:  You should post a picutre of the chandlier!  I am planning on putting one in our nursery too and need some inspiration!

@Goldilocks1107:  I need a massage about now... I will probably schedule one soon.  I'm starting to get knots in my back during the day from sitting at my desk so long.  We are also registering at BRU and Target.  I like Targets stuff the best, so that registry is really long, and BRU has lots of little stuff on it.

@Ms Mini:  That sucks that you maybe saw the gender!  Oh well.... I would still keep it a secret and stay on team green too, since you aren't 100% sure.

@winniewolf:  Thats a lot of working!  You need a vacation, I dont' know how you are doing it!  I work 37 hours (my company doesn't believe in 40 hour weeks) and I am exhausted!

@Marriedandlovingit:  I have been doing crazy stuff too!  I have forgotten something in the house every morning this week!  Its important stuff like my lunch or phone.  I also almost came to work in yoga pants the other day.  I was getting dressed and my black dress pants were in the dryer.  I almost walked out of the door before remembering to change pants.  I had shoes on and everything!  Pregnancy brain is a funny thing!

Nothing much new here.  I convinced my husband to let us get a new couch since I am already having trouble getting off of it.  Its one of those that swallows you whole when you sit in it and is about impossible to get out of.  I can't wait to get new furniture and get a couch with recliners on each side!

I have been sleeping better, and actually staying up til a decent hour now.  I'm making it all the way to 11pm!  LOL.  The baby is kicking much more now, and her favorite spot to kick is directly on my bladder.  I had to leave 2 meetings yesterday to pee!  Luckily everyone understands around here and thinks its funny.

@MissDareDevil:  Great news about your baby's progress!

@Marriedandlovingit:  @futuremrsrichardson:  Thanks...I just felt like so tired and "waah!" yesterday.  I think/hope things will calm down again by mid-February and I'm hoping this is the only weekend I'll have to work.  I need to not throw myself a pity party every time work gets in the way of life.

@Goldilocks1107:  That's a really good idea.  I think the lumbar support I got for my chair made things worse...last night my low back was literally spasming.  Today I just brought in a long and thin decorative pillow for the small of my back and it seems more comfy.  I like the idea of getting a tall workstation for my office - let me know how that goes.  I also was poo pooing the thought of a gym ball thingy, but have a feeling that in another 2 months I will break down and bring one in!

I am taking a few days off at the end of Feb. with DH - a little babymoon to the resort where we got married, followed by time at home to next and get the baby room ready - already looking forward to it : )

@MissDareDevil: Thanks! And I wondered if that was the one from Ikea. I'd been considering it but we don't live anywhere near an Ikea. I might sneak up to Ottawa next time I'm home to grab it because everything else is just so expensive. Thanks for the painting tips too, spray paint it is! Tough decision to make about work, definitely go with your own gut and not the peanut gallery's!

@winniewolf:  Hope you're feeling better! I'm sure baby ww won't hold it against you :) but hopefully you can find a little time to unwind and relax.

@Marriedandlovingit:  My pregnancy brain has been a little embarrassing too... my in laws were up a few weekends ago and I let our dog out and promptly forgot all about her about 5 times all in the same day. Not too big a deal except for the fact that our new home doesn't have a fenced in yard and our dog is known to wander.. we had a few family search parties!

@Goldilocks1107:  I have to do the same, I haven't done any registering in store. I figure all the free goodies and discounts I can get the better!

Glad to hear everyone is feeling good this week.  Most people say weeks 20 through 30 are the best of pregnancy.  Other than being irrationally cranky, I feel really good, just some heartburn at night.  Trying to eat more since I have only gained a few pounds so far.

I have my glucose test on Thursday.  My doctor goes right for the 2 hour test so not looking forward to sitting in the lab for 2 hours, but not nervous about the test at all.

@LAGS - I think your nursery colors look great.

    Two weeks until 3rd trimester!!

    @shortcake15:  Thanks! :)

Well, not much new going on here! I really enjoyed my prenatal massage, and will be definitely be going back for more! I got out with my co-workers for a birthday last evening and have never enjoyed wings more than I did last night! I just scheduled my glucose tolerance test for tuesday, I am pretty nervous, because of my extra risk factor for gestational diabetes, but I know it is better to know and take care of it than not to know! I am working nights all weekend, but I hope you all enjoy your weekends!

@Goldilocks1107:  I hope you enjoyed your prenatal massage! I am really enjoying my aquacise workouts, I have been researching all the post-natal Mom and Baby swimming classes in my neighbourhood!

@winniewolf:  I am sorry that you are getting slammed at work! Lately all I want to do is relax, and it seems that the more I want to relax, the more work calls with extra shifts. It is a total Murphy's law situation. Your babymoon plans make me jealous! My DH will be swamped with work until the end of March, so at most we could try to get away somewhere local in April!

@LAGS:  Thanks! I need the luck, with my PCOS history the changes of gestational diabetes are a lot higher. I am going to make an appointment to get it done tuesday I think, I am not really looking forward to it, but I know it is so important!

@MissDareDevil:  Baby being in the 38th percentile would be so nice! I hope that you can get back and work a bit, I am sure your doctor wouldn't give you a note if they really thought it would be bad for you or baby.

@Marriedandlovingit:  I hope you enjoy your massage! Mine was great. I totally feel you on the pregnancy brain!

@futuremrsrichardson:  I had a ton of blader kicking a couple weeks ago, and it is so uncomfortable! I was so relieved when the baby changed position and got its little feet out of my bladder. I am totally pretending I didn't see anything gender-wise in the ultrasound! Yay for new furniture! I love getting new furniture and decorating!

@shortcake15:  My glucose test is the 2 hour one as well, I actually requested to go straight to it, because I would rather just do the definitive one than risk having to drink the nastiness twice (LOL).

    @Ms Mini: Looking good girl!

So we are most likely nixing Jarrett Cooper for our son's name and doing Cooper Austin instead. What do you all think?

I am feeling like sh*t! The baby is now kicking my ribs and hip bone. The massage was great though. I should start to feel better tomorrow and it should help my migraines too.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    Hey ladies,

It's been a really really busy week and although I haven't been writing, i read your updates every day.....and the May baby complany always makes me happy.  Been super busy because report cards are due on Wednesday and I teach a lot of older elementary grades, so I've had lots of tests and projects to mark, not to mention having the report cards to write.  Plus I got myself a nasty cold/sore throat/sinus cold which has been making me extra worn-out.  Thursday night I was asleep at 7pm!

    Horray for the weekend!

@Marriedandlovingit:  Loving the Cooper Austin.  There is a Cooper in one of my classes and I love saying his name.  :)   I've been getting lots of rib kicks too, but I don't mind them so much....I found the 'rib expanding' pain worse (for now)....maybe I've got a weak kicker and he'll get picked last for the teams at school.  :)

@Ms Mini:  Horray for 24 week bump.  I am going to try to remember to take a bump shot today.  I've been trying for every 2 weeks.

Now that I'm less than 100 days to due date, I've started to refer to my countdown by the day.  So when someone asks how far along I am, I tell them the number of weeks and then I say ___ days to go!

@futuremrsrichardson:  I second trying the exercise ball.  When my back was hurting from too much sitting, it made a huge difference for me.  And then you can use it as a birth ball!

Alright, have a great weekend.  I'm going to get to those report cards soon....but they are onine, so I'll probably be checking this board like crazy.  Oh! and I'm going to order my crib bedding, since it will go on my mastercard, and I'll have money when that bill comes in.  Horray for the elephants!  (And I was thinking if the ultrasound is wrong and it's a girl, I could change-out the crib skirt to pink and that would girl it up.

@cvbee:  edit: Ordered the crib bedding, and ordered a WHITE bed skirt (but still got the blue because I found it cheaper to order the set on another website).  DH says white bedskirt is probably better just to match our room better anyways.  Also, had a little panic when ordering the bedding.  On the original site, the bedding was sold out, then on the 2nd site I found it would ship in March (which wouldnt be terrrible but I want it now), and then on Amazon it said it wouldn't ship to my address.....finally found a canadian site that is happily sending it to me, and it's even at a reduced price.  Horray!

@Ms Mini:  Boo I hope you don't get ninja kicks during the day when you are trying to sleep!  Looking good mama!

@Marriedandlovingit:  Cooper Austin is really cute!  Sorry you feel like poo.

@cvbee:  Aw happy you are getting your bedding you like!

I'm fine, at work on a Saturday which is depressing.  Insomnia is back (probably stress related) but my back is a little better (I think cat/cow exercises are helping).  DH is going to see if he can get us massages for somewhere later today (but might be hard last minute).

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

@cvbee and @winniewolf:  Thank you, ladies! My husband is calling him mini Cooper already.

I had my 3D/4D u/s today and it was so much fun! It turns out that I have anterior placenta, but it obviously didn't get in the way of our little maniac. But of course, he decided to nap the entire time! We still got some fantastic pics of him. He's head down too! We took my husband's parents who are in town visiting us this weekend, and they were beyond thrilled that they got to experience it with us. A couple pics are posted below. He's lounging and looks so comfy!

@Marriedandlovingit:  Oh my goodness, those pictures are amazing! He is going to be such a handsome man. I can't wait to get our 3D... my doctor's office usually does it at 28 weeks. I am excited! Oh, and I love the name. Cooper is one of my husband's favorites!

I have been nurserying up a storm lately. I can't wait to show you guys pics. I went to an antique store today and found some awesome treasures... and I also hung up the tisue flower chandelier.

Here is the chandelier I painted, but it's just a crappy cell phone pic.

Thank you!! I cannot wait to kiss those cheeks. I am so in love with our boy! Come on May! Get here already!! You're so lucky that you will be getting the 3D done at your Dr's! We had to go to a 3D/4D place to get ours done.

@Ms Mini:  Looking great, and I love the new hair! I went for a similar length which was a huuuge change. I'm still adjusting haha

@Marriedandlovingit:  I love Cooper, mini cooper is too cute - literally.. those pics are adorable. I love the hands behind the head.

@MissDareDevil:  Your chandelier came together so well! Love it. I'm curious now, do you remember the make/name of your paint for the walls? It really does look close to ours.

@winniewolf:  Any luck with your massage? It'd have been a nice balance to your busy weekend.

@cvbee:  Yuck, hope your report card work goes by quickly. It sounds like its quite a process for those first few years getting used to them. Great job finding a deal on the bedding. I guess it was meant to be!

@LAGS:  Thank you! I think we may actually stick with the name this time. I had my doubts about the last name, but I fall more in love with Cooper Austin the more I think about it.

Tha hands behind the head crack me up. I was laying the same way during the u/s so it's funny that is the way he was lounging as well. I am so stinkin in love with his little face. I recommend getting a 3D/4D to everyone. It's worth it! I kind of want to get another one :P

@Winniwolf: I also hope you got in there to get a massage. If not this weekend, then maybe next weekend. They work. I am still sore from mine, but I feel better.

How is everyone feeling overall? Hope you all had a good weekend!

@LAGS:  Thanks! Got a lot done, but I'm not done and the report card website is down so I get a guilt-free break now.

Just found out that my aunt's sister in-law is pregnant with twins due in July.  It's exciting finding out about all the babies that will be the same age as my baby!

I have had the most boring last 2 night shifts. We only had 1 baby, and 3 staff members, so  all I did all weekend so far this weekend is read and watch TV at work - which I would totally rather be sleeping at home! Unless somthing popped up today, we might not have any babies tonight, but for safety reasons, we still need to have 3 of us at work (so crappy). I have another book to bring, but I seriously don't know how I will entertain myself all night long. It is good that people are having healthy babies (although I think there has only been 1 or 2 babies born this weekend period!), but it is brutal to be stuck at work when it is so dead!

@cvbee:  I hope your report cards go well! My mom is a teacher and always dreaded report card time. This year she is totally out of the classroom, and she said her first thought was much free time she would have without markign and report cards to contend with! I was super excited to see I am under 100 days to count down as well. I haven't started sharing that with too many people, but it is crazy to know! I am glad to hear you were able to get the bedding you like, there is nothing worse than finally finding the perfect item, then finding out it is sold out!

@winniewolf:  Sorry your insomnia is back! I feel like I am going to battle insomnia from here on out! I can't blame the baby though this time, Ziggy is always really quiet during the day and active at night, so I sleep better after night shifts than I do after day shifts.

@Marriedandlovingit:  I like the name Cooper a lot! It is a cute name for a little boy (My cousins son is named Cooper)

@MissDareDevil:  Love your chandalier! Looks great! I so wish I could get started on the nursery, more and more I am thinking it will be my pre-mat leave time off project (I am going to go off of work at 38 weeks)

@LAGS:  Thanks! I am really liking my new colour, and I always like having that length hair, it is the easiest to take care of!

@LAGS:  It is Sherwin Williams. I think it is called Aqua Tint? Or something close to that name.

I am so glad to read everyone's updates.

We are getting so much done in the nursery... we got our crib all set up and bought a mattress from costco today!

Anyone who has not purchased a crib mattress yet, I would really recommend looking to see if the Costco in your area carries one. It is made by Simmons, and is a soy, eco-friendly foam mattress that is actually reversible. One side is harder for infants, and the other side softer for toddlers. It seems to be amazing quality...even better than the one BRU is selling for $250. We got ours at Costco for $99!!!! Just a tip, in case any of you bees are looking. :)

Prenatal massage was amazing. I'm still having some low back/glute pain on my left side (been happening off and on since week 11) but I've just come to terms with the fact that it's not going away anytime soon

We had dinner with the in laws this weekend and MIL mentioned that she'll be contacting my mom to start planning a shower - I feel so much better now that someone has said they'll actually be throwing me one!

I'm going to order our cool mist humidifier today because our bedroom is so dry right now. I figure that DH and I can use it until baby girl is here. Double duty!

And . . . we have our OB tour and childbirth education classes next weekend. It's really snuck up on me!

@Marriedandlovingit:  Awww, how precious!!!  I really want another U/S but we are not having any more (unless of course one is needed)  I already wonder so much what he will look like!

@MissDareDevil:  I really like that chandelier!  Beautiful work!  We currently have a very "officey" pendant light hanging in our office (soon to be baby WW's room).  I want to look around and see if there's anything that jumps out at me.

@LAGS:  No massage!  But we did have a pretty relaxing Saturday evening - gym, takeout, and a movie.

@Ms Mini:  Insomnia blows!!  The last 2 nights have been pretty good though.  I think a lot of it is stress (work) induced lately. Ugh, hope you had a busier night - nothing is worse than sitting around at the hospital!!

@Goldilocks1107:  Oh, glad you know more about your shower!  My sister just asked me for addresses for my friends, so I need to get those in order as I think she's going to be sending out invites in February.  Crazy!!

To compensate for working so much this weekend, I ate like a pig.  Ugh, now I feel terrible.  My loose fitting maternity pants aren't so loose fitting today.  I guess it's normal and eating slows down in the 3rd tri...but at 23 weeks I'm at my peak!

@winniewolf:  I'm on a huge sugar kick (I made snickerdoodles and chocolate chip cookies this weekend). I need to rein that in before my glucose test on Thursday because I don't want to have to do the 3-hour torture test!

I'm looking for some inexpensive clear totes to use for baby clothes (one tote per clothing size). I figured it will help me keep everything organized. I checked at Target and $9 just seems so ridiculous for storage! Any recommendations on where else to look?

I'm thinking the 66-qt size or a little smaller. At first I thought that would be too big, until I factored in pants, tops, dresses, socks, hats, onesies and jackets. Tiny clothes really add up!

@Goldilocks1107:  Me too!  Yesterday was a "moderate" sugar day and I had a pack of M & M's and glass of chocolate milk.  In addition to bowl of cereal, bagel, nuts, tuna melt (w/ chips), and going out to dinner - lots of bread, appetizers, and a heavy meal of shrimp, beans, and rice in a heavy cream sauce.  So, I skipped my nightly bowl of ice cream.  Since when is having a nightly bowl of ice cream (sometimes w/ a brownie...) normal???

@winniewolf:  Thanks! I was nervous to see what he would look like haha...you just never know what hubs and I would create lol :P

I can't wait until we all have our babies! Time's flown for us. Come on third tri! You better go quick! I am so excited for the baby but I am nervous to see what the future holds. I do not want to be a stay-at-home mom. I am so happy working. But I am a nanny which I cannot do once I have children. I'm trying to figure it out, but I am going through a sense of mourning (for lack of a better term) that I am working my last nanny job after 8 years in the field.

@Goldilocks1107:  Snickerdoodles sound so good right now! YUM!

    @Ms Mini:  Thank you!

@Goldilocks1107:  You are thinking ahead! Good for you! So far I have zero baby clothes and two giant empty drawers, so I'm just going to wait until the need arises to get any bins.

@Marriedandlovingit:  Yeah, it's going to be so exciting when we all start to have the babies.  Can't wait to read all the posts! 92 days to go for me!

Any opinions on co-ed baby showers? I'm having two showers from my places of work and those are going to be ladies-only events. I was thinking maybe of inviting the men to join in for my 'friend' shower....then DH can get in on the fun and it might be nice to get together as couples.  The friend who is throwing the shower isn't into 'games' so it will be more of just a hang-out event.  I told her I'd decide tonight.

oh, and I am officially done report cards!!! This means my life is back to normal, with a healthy(?) obsession on all things baby.

This weekend we got a wall decal that I ordered to go with the baby stuff, but I'm nervous about putting it on our slanted wall because I think it will make the ceiling look even lower.  So, maybe this is a little unconventional, but I'm thinking of putting it into our living room.  It's way more 'cutsie' than a wall decal I would have ordered just for the livingroom, but I'm thinking that our house can be subtly cute all over for baby.  I think I'm going to go for it right now and the worst that will happen is that I 'll take it off and it won't be re-usable.

@winniewolf:  I had it done on Saturday which was almost @ 27 weeks.

@cvbee:  Good that you are done with report cards! That sounds like one hell of a task!

Coed baby showers imo are an excellent idea. I think it would be a fun time. I'm also one that isn't into the typical games, and if I were having one (will probably have one in my hometown after he is born) I would be all over the coed shower.

92 days left for me too! I hope our babies aren't late! My birthday is May 7th, and as silly as it sounds I would prefer not to share a birthday with my little man! I want him to have his own day! Although that would be one heck of a birthday present :)

@winniewolf:  DH has been having a nightly bowl of ice cream for as long as I've known him. So it's totally normal! And probably better than the Pop-Tarts I was eating at night for a week.

@cvbee:  My SIL had a co-ed shower for family. It was basically a big yard party with baby gifts. Her husband wanted to be involved in the shower, and that's how they arranged it. Seemed to work out well and there weren't any baby games to weird out the other dudes.

I'll probably make DH come to the family baby shower (I did the same thing for the family wedding shower) because he likes to open presents and can help me remember all his aunts and cousins' names!

Target registry says 112 days to go!

    @Goldilocks1107:

@Marriedandlovingit:  Thanks ladies!  You gave me the confidence to make it a bring-you-sig-other along event.  Done!

And here's the wall decal I put up in the livingroom near one of our wedding photos. (Now it's kindof un-baby related but I thought I'd show anyways).  I left off the 'cutsie' birds and even the green leaves.  I like it just like this as a modern element in our livingroom.  We'll put the cutsie birds up in our bedroom above the closet door and I'll save the leaves in my craft supplies. :)

Hi girls, glad to hear everyone had a good weekend!

We had our anatomy scan today, (22.5w) and we're officially double team PINK! Two wee girls, all parts and bits present and correct, 1lb3 and 1lb 4 respectively. They were both breech today, curled up facing each other, faces I'd say about an inch apart. Cute! Sonographer was lovely today, really chatty and didn't try to drill the whole way through to my spine with the u/s thingy, yay. And babies are up quite high, so I didn't actually need the full bladder I brought in to be helpful. We were in there a full forty minutes while she studied the babas, they kept turning away from the (what the hell are those things called anyway?) but she was able to see everything she needed to to be confident of their well being.

All growth scans from here- every three weeks until 2nd April then we go every two weeks. Getting v real now- My belly really expanded this weekend, every time I look down I'm startled at how big it's just become! And it's still small enough, considering. I'm sure I'll explode in the next week or two... Going visiting sisters in law tomorrow to rob no longer used baby stuff:) handy to have five of them:)
