When are you sending out your invitations?  Did you send out Save-the-Dates?  What is your RSVP date?  I hadn't really thought about invitations yet until I heard some of our May Bees we're already in process of sending them out....now I feel like I'm behind!

Hi Shaema...I'm not a May bride....but typically anywhere between 6-8 weeks is normal. But of course there are other factors to look at: # of OOT guests (out of state or out of country)...did you mail STDs....when does a final count have to be provided to venue...do you anticipate many people not rsvp'ing on time and you having to call?

My wedding is April 16th and I haven't mailed mine yet, so surely you can;t be behind. We plan to mail 8 wks before; have a lot of OOT guests and we send out STDs 7 months prior.

We did not do STDs, we want to be sending ours by Feb 15th. RSVP - maybe by April 1st. I have to check with the hall.

I sent out save the dates in October, but its because we have a lot of OOT guests and it is a holiday weekend.

I'm planning on sending invites March 27th weekend, or around there. You have plenty of time, as long as you are not crafting something crazy elaborate.

We sent our STD's in either August or September (that was my mom's doing) and the invitations went out yesterday, with an RSVP date of April 1.  Since all of our guests will be coming in from out of town, we wanted them to have plenty of time to book their hotel rooms.  Plus, the room hold expires on March 1, so we had to make sure they had all the info (on the enclosure card of the invite) in time to book.

We aren't planning on sending our invitations until March.  That gives me all of February to produce them!  But we sent out STDs so people had a head's up.

You're deff not behind.... My cousin is getting married the first weekend in June and she's not sending hers out until mid-April... She sent out the STDs already though ... right before Christmas if I remember correctly.

Our wedding is May 15th. We are sending the invites on March 15th and putting the RSVP as April 15th. This way we have plenty of time to worry about those who haven't replied!

My wedding's the same date as pinkmonkee's.  We sent our our STDs at the end of October, but that was mainly because I wanted them to arrive before my dad's family got together for my cousin's wedding (I wanted to avoid having to answer the questions of "When's your wedding?").  I've worked out my invitations and the reception card, but I can't figure out what to do for my response cards.  I did order the embosser for the envelopes and I met with my printer (who's looking for my paper).  Fortunately, he told me it would only take 3-5 days to print the invites.  I'm hoping he'll get the envelopes in early so I can start making the liner and addressing them!  I have to let my venue know the final numbers by May 5, so I'm thinking of either April 20 or 25 for my RSVP deadline.  I think we'll send them out about the same time that pinkmonkee does.  The out of town guests all know when the wedding is and have access to the website info.

I sent out STD's in October.  About 90% of guests are from out of town.  I'm sending invites out March 22nd with a RSVP date of April 23rd.  My wedding is May15th.

You're not behind at all.  Some people just send their invites earlier than others.

I'm a May 15 bride. We did not send out save the dates. But we did email family the link to our wedding website, which has all our info. We are sending invites out Feb 15 with an RSVP of April 15. I wanted to make sure we had enough time to call people and to make sure we got the RSVPs back in time.

My wedding is May 29th and we are sending out invites the week of March 1st (tentatively).  It is a destination wedding for most of our guests, so we want to get on it!

I'm a May 30th bride, and I'm sending out the invitations by March 30th.  My RSVP date is April 30th, which will give me two weeks to call any stragglers before I have to give my final number to the caterer.

I was totally not on the ball with Save the Dates and they went out mid-January.  Kind of pointless at that late of a date, but oh well.

Our wedding is May 29, and we are sending our invitations out at the end of this week, 8 weeks in advance.  Since it is a holiday weekend, we figured the earlier the better!  Our RSVP date is May 1st.

ALL our guests are out of town, so with a May 29 wedding, we sent out invites out March 1--three months in advance.  That's after sending save the dates 9 months in advance.  It was probably unnecessary, but a ton of people had been asking about them because they wanted the invite in their hands before they made their reservations for flight/hotel...don't know why, since they had the save the date!  Congrats on getting yours out!

I sent STD's back in January (we got engaged in December). And my invites went out the first week of March and our rsvp's are due back the second week of April.
