We are a little behind, but playing catch up. We have to make a final decision on our cake (cheesecake or regular cake) and I am still trying to decide if I want to bite the bullet and hire a florist or just do the flowers myself. Have to put a deposit on our officiant and I am in the process of ordering the paper for our invites. Man, it looks bad, but we should be able to wrap most of this up this week or next.
Lot's of the same. I'm deciding on flower girl dresses, shoes and accessories for myself and the bridesmaids, arranging appointments with the stylist, choosing attendant gifts and brainstorming centerpiece ideas. Haven't talked with the florist yet or decided on invites (still hoping to come up with a creative yet inexpensive DIY design), maybe we need to get crackin'?
Stuffing, stamping, addressing, and mailing invitations. And applying for our passports - done and done!!!!!! Yay for me and the FI!
Candy: Invitations already....when are you planning on sending them out? I haven't even designed mine yet :-0

I am worried about mine! Iam hoping to order the cardstock I use this week.. I plan on getting them printed myself locally and then stamping them, so it might take a while longer than just ordering them already made.
I'd also like to get my groom's and his groomsmen suits picked out!
For me...hopefully (finally) registering and checking out our potential rehearsal dinner spot!
I ordered my invitations waaay back in November. We thought they'd take longer than they did. We just sent them out on my lunch break today. Our date is May 1, but the hotel the guests are staying in only has the rooms blocked off till March 1, so the invitations had to go out a little early (there's an enclosure card w/ lodging info included).
Are you serious?! Maybe I am sooo dumb but I handed out invitations last month! I wanted to allow people plentyy of time to rsvp...im anal like that...
Also this week I want to get my FI and his groomsmens suits picked out!
We've got the invitations printed and ready to stuff, the rehearsal dinner venue booked and the bridesmaid gifts purchased... but no florist or officiant! I'm trying to convince myself that it will all get done!
First off I need to win the lotto this week LOL I have $4500 left to come up with 2 weeks before May 22nd! I still need bouquets, pick an officiant, block rooms, and pick out my photographer :(
Hmm to do this week: work on bridesmaids gifts (I have to sew, yikes!), design table numbers, pick out prelude music for organists, pick out music for RD musicians, start addressing envelopes if they come.
That is all I'm planning on this week! Just designed the invites this weekend for may 29 wedding, so if you haven't done them you are not alone - don't worry! Mine are super simple, just black text on white cardstock, and then one BM and I will screen print a design on each one.
I made about half of the table numbers this weekend. next weekend, I'm going to try to finish up the invitations, which includes filling in the # of reserved seats, putting a stamp on the response card, putting on the belly band, and wax sealing 100 invitations. Yikes! Oh yeah, and putting on the labels and stamps onto the regular envelope, too. Perhaps this may take longer than a weekend... ;)
This week I'm working on designing the invitations. Right now I'm looking for fonts to use. I'm mailing out invitations March 22nd with a RSVP date of April 23rd.
We just picked out tux's now hoping to finish up the invite wording this week and find a great deal on some tablecloths, then this weekend maybe paint my candleabras!! :)
To Do This Week: Invitations, Order bridesmaid dresses, Book ceremony Music, Hotel room block
We just ordered our invitations on Saturday, and this week we're trying to make a final decision on ceremony music! Oh, and we have a tasting tomorrow with our caterer which will RUIN my diet but I'm excited anyway. :)
I'm in the process of choosing ceremony music, and figuring out an order of service. Next on the list is flower girl dresses, ordering flowers (we're having a 'friendor' arrange our bouquets), and figuring out program designs. I'm stuck in a different city for the next 6 weeks, so planning is kind of at a stand-still...doing whatever I can from far away.
The major stuff I still need to do is order the tables chairs and linens (i am actually waitning for a call back) and book the DJ/Entertainment. We are so behind and I am starting to get a bit nervous.
I've got venue, photographier, DJ, florist, makeup done. I just got a planner to help me since I was stressing out. I still have a ton of things to do though...lots.
We just had our invites printed this weekend...so I'm busy rounding corners, making envelope liners, and ordering pretty envelopes! Other than that, I'm starting to work on my pinwheel decor....fold fold fold cut cut cut glue glue glue
I am waiting for my sample invite in the mail... hopefully it will be there today. We want to send them out in the next 2 weeks. Working on wedding bands, ceremony structure, shoes, passport renewal for me, starting another registry.
Lots to do! 102days left. I think I might pee a little once we are in the double digits! (excited and scared of time running out)
Anyone else not cross everything off their list this week (or even close)? I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed and thinking that maybe I need to shorten my to do list every week so I feel a sense of accomplishment. Also, does anyone else research, research and research some more before making a decision? I am so envious of people that can make decisons quickly. I need to weigh the pros and cons of everything!

We are finalizing our invitation wording and just put down the deposit for our invites. We are planning to send them out the first week in March.
My invitations are hopefully arriving from the printer tomorrow! I've already addressed the envelopes and still need to address the RSVP envelopes, assemble everything, and buy postage for everything. Our date is May 2, and we picked March 26 as our RSVP date, so I feel the need to send them out ASAP (hopefully in the next couple weeks)!
Oh, and I have a makeup trial this week (my 2nd one, but with a different person this time....). I also started working on the text of our programs. Am also sloooooowly starting to think about what accessories to wear, and any day now, I'm hoping to get the magic phone call that my dress is finally in.
This week I'm working on adressing/finishing the invites, making final decor decisions, and ordering the wedding bands. The FI is working on procuring a photographer... Only 99 days left... I feel like we're in a good spot... especially considering we just started planning mid-January!
I am so glad to look back on what I wrote last week and see that I have made progress. I am going to the florist tomorrow to make some decisions.
The sample invites came and we have approved them.
We went and looked at wedding bands.
Sent away for a new passport.
So this coming week is finalizing the guest list, Ceremony Structure, start thinking/ shopping for decor, find shoes.
This week my bridesmaids are coming over to help me make paper flowers and also to assemble our invitations. I'm also scheduling dress fittings and starting to look for deals on rental cars for our wedding weekend (destination wedding).
This weekend is designing invitations and filling out graduation forms (this is a vital part to the getting married process, ya know). I also hope to work on the centerpieces/cupcake stands in the coming week!
Booked rehearsal dinner spot and picked up invitations, although we wont send them out til March.
Finished creating and making our Rehearsal Dinner Menus and invitations...other than that, i'm pretty good. I have almost everything done except all the last minute stuff and sending invites out in March :)
I'm freaking out! I have all the major stuff done, photographer, videographer, venue, Priest, DJ, limos, all taken care of months and months ago. But I haven't ordered my invites yet! I am having them custom made and there are still details and kinks to work out!
Bridesmaids gifts taken care of...
I'm trying to decide whether or not to do linens (or stick with white like we originally planned) because they are over our budget.
Still to do:
Buy frames for tables, meet with florist to finalize details (Friday) and find somewhere to rent/borrow a little printer for digital camera (the one you place the camera or card right on) because I have a good idea for the guest book.
All that in addition to working full time, taking 2 classes at UIC, and completing National Board certification.

Fiance is rounding corners while I write addresses. Too bad we don't have stamps or all the addresses yet!
You guys are so freaking good! I'm a big ol' slacker. I need to pick out flowers (centerpieces and bouquets) and find a florist, set up tasting/pick menu, set up engagement photos, set up make up and hair trials, pick out tuxes, pick out/buy rings, buy lingerie and shoes for fitting in a week, bridal party gifts, encourage FMIL to book rehearsal dinner, pick out music to send to DJ, buy supplies for pomanders, votives, and vases...that might be it. Oh, and book limo and hotel for the wedding day/night.
I really should have worked with a wedding planner!

We've gotten all the 'big' decisions: venue, officiant, flowers, DJ, dress, etc. done so I kind of feel at peace and am enjoying the smaller stuff. I've just started looking at jewelry for me, attendents gifts, and ideas for creative table numbers. What are my fellow May brides working on this week?
