I think I’m going more crazy over bouquets than I was with dresses! Because of how different my venues are, I can’t decide on which bouquet I want. I’m inspired by these two:
The look of the bridal party will be like thus:
Except the groom will also be in a gray tux, but a black shirt. My colors are charcoal gray, ivory, and apple green for the most part. My ceremony venue has a very vintage, relaxed feel to it as it is an Italian villa turned art museum that overlooks the lake with a HUGE garden. Whereas my reception is at a very formal, modern restaurant with almost no frills. Think white tablecloths and dark wood. We are only doing a circular vase with tulips for each table–that’s how simple and sleek we’re keeping it.
I know that the general look of my party is more formal and modern, and because of the amount of gray the white bouquets would pop more for the bridesmaids. But I can’t stop drooling over the other bouquet! It matches my dress more along with the ceremony venue. But I don’t feel like it would go well with the bridesmaids dresses.
Which bouquet would you choose to be inspired by if you were in my shoes?

I like the structure of the bottom left one better, and it goes more with the bottom left (which i’m assuming is your bridesmaid inspiration?). It’s a bit sleeker which seems to go better with your plans for the reception, and I’m not a fan of the pink at all with your colour scheme.

I like the white and silver. It goes much better with your colors

I really like the amount of texture in bouquet #1. Although I’m going to do garden roses instead of peonies/regular roses with whichever I choose. The fern in #1 really gets me, as I have fern embroidery on my dress. I also am a fan of asymmetrical bouquets, as is my FI.
In bouquet #2, I like the painted silver leaves but the starkness of white flowers and steel blue accents don’t go with my yellow-ivory dress. But it goes so well with the bridesmaids!
Since I probably should have earlier, here’s a picture of my dress. Although its a photoshopped stock picture, the color is accurate without flash. Sorry for all the large pictures.

Agree, white and silver/gray bouquet! I think it is still romantic enough to go with the Italian villa!

I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t pick the first one. It’s drop-dead gorgeous. The second bouquet is a dime a dozen… The first one made my jaw drop (and went straight to my wedding board on pinterest lol!).

I love them both, I can totally understand why you are having such a difficult time choosing one, but…I have to go with the first one also. It’s absolutely gorgeous!!!
But whichever one you pick will look amazing!!! Sigh… 🙂

I like the first one the most

I like the size of #1, but the look of bottom left.

Maybe you can have the bouquet you like best & the BM’s can have the other. Also I think a very light purple/violet pastel color would go great with the gray dresses.Whichever you choose, I’m sure it’ll be beautiful.

I updated the picture of bouquet #2 so that its larger and only shows the bride’s bouquet.
When talking to my florist for my original idea for a bouquet, she nixed the idea of lavender because it wouldn’t be in season for a Wisconsin May. Unfortunately, there just haven’t been too many purple flowers that I like besides lavender.

I think the pastel bouquet will look really nice with the dress you have!

@ekizuna: That sucks! Lavender would’ve worked great. In that case, I would go with bouquet #1. It’s beautiful & goes great with your dress & IMO still pops with the BM’s dresses because the flowers are light colors.

I think I’ll talk to my florist again (after Valentine’s Day) and try to get her opinion as well. Since she knows her flowers, maybe she can somehow mesh to the bouquets together!
Thanks for your opinions, everyone.

why dont’ you go with the top foru and the bottom for the girls. Or what if you put them together some how. However, I do like the bottom the most.
