Ok ladies… so I have NO idea what kind of understuff to purchase. My dress should be in here a week or two and I want to have my underoos before the fitting. What would you suggest with this gown? (I’m wearing it without the strap and I’m a size 2 with little to no boobs unless you count what I buy at Victoria’s Secret )
I know I don ‘t HAVE to wear a bra but with the sweetheart’ish neckline I want a little ‘umph’
I thought about a onesie type of deal so that I don’t have any pudges or seams but I’m not sure…
What do you think?

Not a May Bride (married last sept) but thought I’d poke in! Are you going to want to wear a crinoline with this dress? If so, some crinolines come with bands at the top (like the davids bridal fit and flare), and wearing a onesie might get a little complicated. Otherwise, I think go with the onesie type thing!

@pengoala: Thank you. I don’t think I am (and it was so long ago that I can’t remember if I wore one when I tried it on). I guess I’ll get a onesie and if it doesn’t work go find something else. LOL

Your dress is lovely! I have a drop waist gown so I don’t have to worry about an underwear line as much, but I’m just going with a nude thong. For uptop they are sewing in cups for me. While I’m a C cup I don’t have a lot of great natural cleavage, so I may even use some cutlets 🙂 to boost the vavoom a bit. I’ve heard of some girls even getting 2 cups sewn in (on each side) to boost the cleavage factor. Good luck!

I would get cups sewn in. They don’t offer much support but they will push you up. Since you don’t need the support that’s the way I would go.

I also have a sweetheart top and am a small boobs; I am going with sewn in push-up cups. I didn’t want to worry about my bra strap showing in the back ( my pet peeve in general) or readjusting a bra all night ( I have a key hole back on my dress). I have heard if girls getting more than 1 pair sewn in to give them a lil extra vavavoom as well. So far, mine have worked great and will know even more once I go for my 2nd fitting next week.

I hate the onesies – i find that they slump down and bring my boobs with them! lol. I opted for some spanx underneath and i bought a strapless bra that i really liked at Victoria’s Secret. I go for my first fitting tomorrow and she said we can try with and without the bra. I’d rather just wear the bra than have cups sewn in – i think i’d be more comfortable because i really like the bra and i just dont want to pay for any more alterations (i’m already paying extra to have my dress turned from a straight across strapless to a sweetheart). FYI, the strapless i got at VS has a deep plunge, yet keeps the girls locked and loaded. I’m not flat chested, so I can’t do those tiny little strapless pushup bras. they had another strapless there that was almost exactly the same as the one i got, but it had padding to push you up – which looked ridiculous on me! best of luck – just choose whatever you will be most comfortable in and dont worry about anything else!
