We're leaning toward six. We're having our ceremony at an art museum and it doesn't close to the public until five, so we really don't have that much flexibility.
We're also getting married outside but everything will be at one location. So we're having our ceremony from 5:30-6pm, cocktail hour from 6-7pm and reception from 7-11pm.
If you have to be out by 10pm, I think starting at 5pm will work. I wouldn't have a brunch wedding unless you can set up the night before.
i also have to be out by 10pm.
we have our ceremony starting at 4, cocktail hour starting at 5, dinner starting at 6, then dancing for the rest of the night
Our venue closes to the public at 5pm, so ceremony is 6-6:30p, cocktails 6:30-7:ish, Dinner at 7:15p. I personally don't like the whole hour for cocktails; I always get tired of standing and am usually hungry, so we're just doing 30-45min of it to maximize our reception time. :)
5:30pm start time for my outdoor ceremony. By that time it is cooling off a bit, the sun is in a good position for pictures and there is more shade for if it is hot. Our photographer recommended it too.

Have you ladies decided what time you're getting married yet? We have an outdoor venue but we have to be out by 10pm (we can leave the tents/chairs, etc.) and can't set up until 7am in the morning. We thought about having a brunch wedding but I don't think we could get everything set up in time. So we thought about 5 or 5:30 so it would be at least beginning to cool off some (there's shade as well). We're not having alcohol so I feel like that 5 or so hours would be plenty of time but what are your thoughts??? And don't forget to tell me what time you're getting married if you've decided yet. Thanks girls!
