Well, if all goes well with our IVF cycle, I’ll hopefully be POAS in May. ๐Ÿ™‚

@DiamondsandLace:  I’m in your tub!!! I was wondering about you yesterday, good to see you (although would have been better to see you on a December babies thread…!).

Looks like we’ve got a good group already ๐Ÿ™‚

@RubyCali:  just went and caught up on the April thread – I totally hear you on the “women in our family are super fertile” story… my aunty warned me ages ago that I’d only have to think about being pregnant and I would be… well, 6 months later and I’m disproving that family myth!!

Fingers crossed for us all this month!!

Anyone want to share stats and stories?

I went off BC Oct 2010 to reacquaint myself with my cycle after 8 years on the pill, used condoms (not always very effectively = a few months wondering about PMS vs preg symptoms), stopped using any birth control Oct 2011, really started trying in Jan, used OPKs for the first time in March/April. I’ve never temped. I have cycles ranging from 29-42 days, most recently 29, 37 and 35. My doctor said I might have a “touch of endo”… whatever THAT means. Just turned 30, and really imagined I’d at least be pregnant by now.

Would LOVE a Jan (or Feb) baby, because it would work beautifully with the school year here in Aus (I’m a teacher).

And you?

@DiamondsandLace:  I’m coming to join you in your tub!:) How do funny pictures of animals have an uncanny ability to make me smile? I missed you on the April boards lately so I’m glad to see you back! Your posts always crack me up.  I treated myself to a Big Gulp sized coffee this morning, and was contimplating spiking it this morning… I feel like i deserve it since AF made her unwanted apperance this morning. Ohhhh, why can’t it not be a work day? I’ll make up with a glass bottle of wine tonight:)

@jaguar:  Yay for peeing on a stick this month!! Fingers are CRAZY crossed for you this IVF round… first one, right?

@RubyCali:  @melisslp:  @Kalamaz17:  @hamikay:  Good luck to all… January 2013 babies to all of us!

This will be cycle 2 post-MC for us, cycle 5 total- doesn’t sound like a ton, but I’ve been wanting to be a mom since I was like 5 years old, so it feels like an eternity.  I really got my hopes up for April, and I’m having a hard time now that I’m out:( BUT… onward we go, right?:)

I accepted a new job offer this morning! YAY! And am going to give my current boss my notice today.  I was going back and forth about what to do, and AF coming really reminded me that this process might take a while, so I’m not putting my life on hold anymore. I agree with @hamikay that I figured I’d just blink and end up pregnant, so the fact that my “plan” isn’t working is testing my need for control in life:)

@MRSLMA:  congrats on taking the job!! great idea to take control of something when you feel like getting pregnant is out of your hands. I think that’s what is upsetting me most – not being able to plan and control it.

@MRSLMA:  Congrats on the new job!! I Funny how we try to “plan” our lives and it never works out the way we try, but it works out just being just perfect. ๐Ÿ™‚

@MRSLMA:  Hey! Yep, round 1 IVF for us. I’m so nervous but SUPER excited too. Who knows, we may get some luck for the first time in this whole crazy ordeal. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I kind of avoided the April thread because I have been out of the running while on this IVF protocol, but it’s good/sad to see some familiar faces here.

@hamikay:  I’d love a Jan/Feb baby for that reason too. I teach here in Sydney!

@DiamondsandLace:  I’m off wine and coffee and all that stuff during this stupid prep process. If I’m a BFN after this cycle, I’m totally buying a bucket of salty popcorn, a HUGE soft drink & a margarita.

I’ll join in! I’m at CD 21 and still waiting on O. This is cycle 14 and I’m just finally acknowledging the fact that I won’t have a baby in 2012. When/if this cycle doesn’t work, we’re headed back to the RE for some monitored cycles. I’ve sort of thrown caution to the wind this cycle – DH is away for 5 days around ovulation, and I figure there’s no point in limiting the caffeine if I’m not going to get KU anyways. Hello, diet Coke for breakfast.

@jaguar:  Not sure about in AUS, but in the states, you can buy a bucket of margaritas…. I’m thinking positive BFP thoughts for you this month though, so lets not even go there:)

@redsmarties:  Mmmmmm, Diet Coke for Breakfast…. and an espresso for lunch??;)
