I love how romantic and floaty it is (and the lace is beautiful!). However, I would advise you to wait until your date gets a little closer, just in case you find something you like more.

That is a gorgeous dress! But I agree with waiting before buying it. You still have quite a while and I would hate for you to change your mind in a year!

Maybe my personal experience is clouding this next post (of course it is) but I did the same thing months ago. We had a different date (Feb 2012) so we went shopping in January and found *the* dress. It was the second time we’d gone dress shopping and I LOVE it. It’s been about two months and it still hasn’t even come in. My point is that, if you think this is *the* dress, as in 0 doubts, then I’d get it. If you do have slight doubts, keep it in mind and look for a while longer. Don’t buy it just to have a dress (as you won’t be needing it, as PPs have said). I bought mine because it was absolutely perfect and I knew I couldn’t beat it — I tried!

And btw – that dress is gorgeous, but if there are things you don’t love about it (the flowers) then keep looking around for dresses that give you a similar feel without the flowers. I’m sure you obviously logically know that you don’t need a dress just yet (trust me, I know this too).

I think it looks stunning on you hun, I love the detailing on the skirt! I ordered my dress a year in advance and it only came in a few weeks ago so I wouldnt leave it too many months before you buy your gown, just in case!

Definitely agree with @AmeliaBedelia‘s point that if you don’t like something about a particular dress, keep looking! Now you have the baseline which you will compare all dresses to. Research online and in magazines to look for similar silhouettes and fabrics and seek out those dresses to try on. If you find something else that makes you confused, go back and visit this one and the other on the same day if possible. Good luck! You have LOTS of time to make a decision.

I put a deposit on my first dress with 11 months to go. Then a designer launched a new line in February and I fell in love with a dress. So now I have 2, but I’ll only wear one. Unless you have the budget for two, wait until you’re absolutely sure before you buy the one πŸ™‚

This dress looks waaaaaaaay better on you than on the model!! It’s gorgeous! But if I were you I would definitely wait.  You have so much time! The dress will always be there.  Try on lots of dresses! And then later if you still think it’s THE ONE, see if the shop is planning on having a trunk show for that designer, Casablanca. Even if you don’t get one of the newer styles from the trunk show, they often will put the whole line at an additional 10-20% off!! πŸ™‚
