Does it matter that I hate my florist’s personality? He seems to do beautiful work, which is what is most important- but he is cold, stern and it bothers me!
I’m meeting with other florists too so I am not set in stone with him, but most likely he is who I would end up with…
would personality issues be a deal breaker for any of you?

It really depends on if he was personally rude to me, or it affected the quality of his work. If those two issues become involved, then YES. It would definitely be a deciding factor on who I hire.

As long as he isn’t being rude and disrespectful to you, then I say keep him if you like his work. It’s the work that ultimately matters. Sure it would be nice is everyone was as nice as grandma, but some people are so focused that they come off as cold. And maybe they are–but wouldn’t you rather get what you pay for than have someone to chat with?

Yeah I definitely would not prefer to have someone friendly who did shoddy work, but if I could find a nice person who did awesome work that would be even better!
He hasn’t been disrespectful to me, but is just cold with me and makes me feel like I am bothering him sometimes with my questions.
I guess it will just factor into my decision once I meet with the other florists. I think what bothers me is that the flowers are important to me and I will be very hands-on with how the arrangements will be and a lot of communication and meeting up will be necessary- so if it is unpleasant all the time…that will suck.
But my priority is to get the florist with the best arrangements for the best price.

You probably won’t have much face time with him, so I would let it slide.

I agree with helenberrycrunch: I hardly spoke to my florest, dont worry about it.

Really? Im surprised- maybe I’m being more hands-on that is common, but i want to see examples of all the arrangements for the bouquet, church and tables before the date for us to make sure everything is perfect- we are also going to the church and reception area together to discuss how everything will be…
Well..yeah I guess that isn’t too much time together! Youre right. 🙂
