Just curious....is anyone else's fiance much taller than you are?? I love being petite because I always feel so protected...it's not so fun always wearing heels though :)

adorable pic! i'm 5'4 and my son's dad is 6'4 (we aren't together anymore but i remembered i liked the height) m is about 6' and sometimes he appears taller but he's a big ole teddy bear so i still feel protected and very much like a girl
Aww I think that is so cute. We went to a wedding this weekend, the bride was about 4'11, the groom about 6'5. My FI is only 4 inches taller than me, but I used to date a guy MUCH taller than me and I remember *loving* it.

How do all the not so tall girls get all the tall guys? LOL I hate that! Give my hubs a few inches =P
That pix is so cute! I'm short too (5'1), but my Fi isn't that tall, he's only 5'5. So it works for us!

I'm 5'10" and have never dated a guy over 6'1". My guy is just an inch taller than me but an inch is enough! Really, even if he were shorter than me that'd be fine too. But it does keep me on the look out for cute flats.
haha, I read an article once about why short girls go for tall guys. Biologically they go for the taller ones for protection. I wish I had the article still lol My brother is 6'4 and likes the short ones too.
I'm 5'9 and FI is 6'. He went from dating a girl that was 5'2" so it was quite an adjustment for him at first. I love being almost as tall as him, but still being able to wear cute heels and be just as tall as him. My younger sister is his height though, I come from a tall family so he's actually pretty short compared to the men in my family (dad is 6'9", brother is 6'6")
JoesWifey - I would get such a kick out of reading that article!!! I had never dated a guy over 6' until I fell head over heals for my FI. My taller girl friends give me trouble all the time for being with a taller guy :)
heheheh, thats cute..... my brother is 6ft 2 and his wife is 4ft 8.
at their wedding her twin (my SIL is a identical twin) decorated a milk crate with lace & flowers for her to stand on as a joke

I'm 5 foot even and my fiance is 6'4" so a 16 inch difference! It gives me a good excuse to wear my 5 inch heals all the time ;)
@futuredrbraun... they married ages ago - before digital cameras was the norm so the pics are at their house somewhere. we were laughing about their new bed on the weekend - she needs to take a run up because its so high :)

I'm 5'1, hubbers is 6'2. Sometimes it hurts my neck to look at him. :o)

I am actually 5'4" and my hubby is 6'3" so I am definitely much smaller than he. Below is a picture of our first dance. At that point I was wearing flip flops so you can see how tall he is. I had to look up to him the entire time :)

ME!! I'm 5'1 and he's 6'5! It was kinda rough to get engagement pictures done because our photographer had to think of ways to make us more even. I can relate to loving the fact that I always feel protected... but I don't always love wearing heels :)

sometimes i wish i had this problem... i'm 5'10" and FH is 6'3", which is nice, i can still wear heels and be ever so slightly shorter than him, but i often wonder what it'd be like to have to look up at him... hehe

I'm 5'1" and my hubby is 6'0" but I swear sometimes I think either I'm shrinking or he's growing because it seems like much more than an 11" difference on some days. At our reception I was wearing 4" heels and at one point he looked down at me and said "did you take off your shoes already?" and I was still wearing those painful things so I thought, screw it, if it doesn't even make a difference I'm taking them off!
These pictures are all so adorable!! My fiance is 6'1 and I'm 5'3, when I wear flats I feel so tiny. My tall friends do give me grief for dating a taller guy, but hey, I can't help that we both liked each other. :)
Yes i am exactly that way ..i'm 5'1 and the mr is 6'4 ...i'm use to being around tall guys ..i joke around with him , that he's the tallest i've ever been with .:) I tell him its like the Keebler elf meets the jolly green giant :) lol i have no prob with this ..however i do wish he would stop putting things in shelves that i can't reach ..haha

Love these! I'm 5'2 and FI is 6'2, I just LOVE him being a foot taller then me, I think its just the perfect amount and he always compliments the top of my head :) This pic doesn't really show off our foot difference b/c I'm always wearing tall heels, but you get the idea :)

And everyone I have ever dated has been over 6' and they have all had a "type" of liking short girls! I don't know what it is but all my tall friends bitch about it all the time!!!!! From the other side of things my brother is only 5'4" and he loves tall girls!?!?!?!?!?
I am 4'10 and FI is 6'3. I've always known I would marry someone talling than me. lol. I love it.
I'm 5'10.5" and FI is 6'8" (and he's not even the tallEST among his brothers!), so there is still quite the gap between us. I love wearing heels too so I'm happy I'm with someone so tall so I still can!
I'm 5'4" and the FI is 6'6"...so, atleast I know my kids will have a chance of being taller than I am!!! lol
@futuremrsmartin, omg I always get picked up by the SHORTEST dudes in the bar! I think it's a fantasy thing, honestly. I've had guys barely 5 feet tall try to get me to go dance with them. It's like kicking off a child, honestly =]

Yep I'm 5'7" and my fiance's 6'6". He's a giant but I always feel protected and don't have to worry about wearing heels around him since I'll never ever be taller then him! What can I say, they build 'em big in Texas!
I'm 5'6" and fiancé is 6'2". It's not that much of a difference but I can wear heels as high as I want.
I'm from Québec, Canada and there is definitly a difference in heights for men. French men are shorter for sure. Hahaha!!
I'm 5'7" which isn't short by most standards... but FH is 6'10". That's a 15 inch difference... Anyone looks short standing next to him!
Me 5'2 him 6'2. I love it and hate it. Love feeling petite and protected and wearing sky high heels. Hate it when I can't reach stuff and need to grab a chair while he laughs at me.
