I finally have my dress! So excited. Its Maggie Sottero Anniston.
My question for the board is whether I should get rid of the train or not. The pictures are not great of the train but I think you can get the idea – the back is definitely longer than the front. I think I would prefer it if the dress just touched the floor all the way around and wasn’t longer at the back
Any thoughts on this?

OMG your dress is beautiful. Don’t get rid of the train!

I vote no. I love your dress. It is nice and flowy. Cutting the train off will look less flowy 🙂 Also, your dress will look good in pictures with the train. You can bustle your dress to make it look like it doesn’t even have a train. Like this: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/08/25/ballroom-bustle-train-flip-how-to/#more-159075

Your dress is beautiful! I would keep the train.

I came very close to ordering that dress. The train is stunning. You might try a french bustle, I was shown this the salon and truly loved it.

up to you… but, do you know what your fiance might want?
My fiance’s only request before I ever started dress shopping was: Must have a train!! 🙂 Some guys really like it:) You can always bustle it maybe?

Beautiful train! Keep it for the ceremony and bustle for the reception?

I will go against the grain here and say that as long as you and your fiance’ are okay with being “train-less” then get rid of the train. I don’t think the train does much for the dress because it looks to me like it is merely unembelished extra tulle fabric on the back of the dress. I think you might be better off with a cathedral length veil as your train.
Otherwise, gorgeous dress! I love it!!!

I voted to keep the train. But that is what I would do if this is my dress!
But it’s YOUR dress! You prefer no train, then take the train off! It will still be a beautiful dress!

Personally, I like the train, but it’s going to look beautiful either way. Do what makes you happy!

How will it look bustled?
That was the deciding factor for me, mine actually looks really pretty bustled.
My FI really wanted me to have a train too (although I thought it would be annoying), guys can be so weird sometimes! You never know what they have had their hearts set on wedding-wise 🙂

Are you planning to sell the dress after the wedding? If so, I would definitely keep the train and bustle it. It’s not something you might think of, but a buyer would probably want the dress in-tact. If not, I say chop it off! You should be comfortable and happy with your dress on your day. 🙂
That dress fits you perfectly, too.
